Over Weight Since Child Hood... Anyone Else?
I too have been overweight since childhood. I think the least amount I weighed in high school was 166. It may seem like a silly question but I was wondering if it's harder for someone to lose weight who has always been overweight compared to someone who was thin at one point?

Is The My Fitness Pal Calorie Count For Exercuse Too High ?!
I thought the same thing! I started comparing what the machines tell me and what's on my fitness pal. For example, 30 minutes on the the bicycle (12-14 mph) says 399 calories burned on my fitness pal but the bike at the gym said 104.

I haven't had surgery yet but at my last visit I asked my surgeon what size band he is going to use and if he fills it at all at the time if surgery. He said he will probably use a 12cc band and usually fills it with 3-4ccs at the time of surgery.- Comorbidities, Stress & Geez...
I've lost over 10lbs since my initial weigh in, unfortunately, my insurance goes by your weight at the end of your supervised 6 month diet! Luckily, I will still have a bmi over 35 with several co-morbidities by the time of my pre-op appt. 7/2. I had to check into that, I was worried and thought I may have to scale back on the weight loss until after my surgery.- Comorbidities, Stress & Geez...
I agree! Do whatever you need to! If it wasn't for my high blood pressure, pre-diabetes, high cholesterol and possible sleep apnea, I would be exactly where you are! My bmi is 38.4. If I didn't have the co-morbidities, I would be wearing those sweats and ankle weights!- Happy, Happy, Happy
