  1. Every surgeon is different. I did the South Beach Super Charge Phase 1. Just follow the instructions and you will be fine. Good luck!
  2. Congrats and I'm glad you are doing well. Welcome to the other side!
  3. Congrats Kami! Glad you are doing well. It will only get better.
  4. Wow! That is great news and an inspiration! Great job!
  5. They will hook you up to a bunch of wires all over your body and then they will tell you to go to sleep. Not fun and not easy. Good luck!
  6. I am the same as hedder14. I use a small plate and fork but I eat 3 meals a day and eat about 3/4 cup. I do feel satisfied and full. I put down my fork after every bite and once the food goes down I wait a minute before taking another bite.
  7. Everyone is different first of all. I had surgery on Friday and was back to work on Tuesday. I sit at a computer all day but looking back I wish I would have taken at least a week off. My surgery was out patient so I had to have someone with me for the first 24 hours. Also you will not be able to pick anything up weighing more than 10 lbs for two weeks I believe. I hope this helps and good luck!
  8. Happy Birthday and hope your wish comes soon quickly. Good luck!
  9. Have you tried Smooth Move Tea? I discussed this with my doc to yesterday and he suggested. He told me to drink it a couple of times a week and it will work. I'm picking some up today. Love the rest of you blog too!
  10. You are still healing and your stomach could still be swollen. Just take tiny baby sips. I know it is hard to get all the water in but just sip all day long. It will get better. Good luck!
  11. I told my mother and sisters after I was banded. At that point they couldn't say much. My sisters were excited for me but my mom was a little upset because I didn't tell her prior. Hope this helps and good luck.
  12. Good luck! Remember to walk walk walk. You will do great!
  13. Day 3 and 4 were my worst but you will start feeling better day by day. The port area takes the longest to heal.
  14. I used the South Beach Super Charge Diet Phase 1. Basically proteins and veggies.
  15. 40.2 lbs! NSV um is a little harder. I would say eating healthier therefore so is my family. Sounds funny but sprinting! Dr Fox told me today to start sprinting to burn more calaries and I just started doing it this week before he told me. So I'm going to try tweeking it a little bit with some advise he gave me. We had a good visit.
  16. Walk walk walk to get rid of the gas and take the pain meds. Good luck!
  17. Had an appointment with Dr Fox today and he is happy with my progress. He asked me what my secret was. I was thinking "what are you smoking?" and I told him following your instructions. He grinned and said "That is what I wanted to hear". Look at Dr Fox being funny. He is a great guy.
  18. Do you experience this after you eat? If so you could be eating too fast.
  19. Please add me to your group. I work in Dallas and live just south of Dallas. I was banded 2/3/12. I will send you my email address.
  20. My insurance BCBS of GA had a 2 year supervised diet which I think is ridiculous. So I was a self pay.
