  1. Fellow banders, Just had a quick question for you. Did your weight loss team give you anticoagulant injections straight after your surgery and tell you it was essential you injected either your stomach or thighs everyday for a period of a few weeks? I’m wandering this 8 years post-op as I have never heard anyone else having to do this. Thank you ?
  2. Vomiting is a bit of a problem cos it can cause a band slippage, but I've been doing it for a while, purging after everything I eat, it is really uncomfortable because the stomach just feels tighter. But I got told it can be dangerous if you vomit too much, every now and then can't be that bad. I think it is possible for the contents to come up, but it's safer for it not to.
  3. Gosh I felt exactly the same, it's been over a year I've had the surgery done, but only a couple of people know about it, some judge too much, the commentaries are unnecessary, best thing to do is just say you're trying a new diet, its what I've been saying and managed to keep it down low without anyone being suspicious Good Luck on your surgery!
  4. I don't think there's anything to be scared about, it all happens really quick, i managed to get well within 5 days, and got back to work after a week I had off, you may experience discomfort etc, but it is a surgery after all, but believe me after seeing all the pounds drop off and in the end being in the shape you really wants pays off everything good luck on your surgery, I hope it goes well
  5. Hey! You're doing really well! Well, I was banded 25-06-11 and since then i've lost 35 pounds, I think I could have done SO much better, I am a bit disappointed in myself, but better than nothing thats for sure!
  6. Hey guys! So I was just wandering is my progress is decent?! So I had my operation on june 25th 2011, since then I've dropped like 35 pounds, but since a recent band fill I cant eat at all! I don't even know if I should be concerned. I'm still finding it hard to choose the right food, anyone got any advise? I'm trying really hard to reach my goal, I think I may be over doing it, any advise would be helpfull, thanks! Happy banding people! P.S- If anyone is currently thinking of getting the band, I completly recommend it! I have never looked back, it's completly worth it!
