  1. my only tip is to keep doing what you are doing. even though the scale may not be moving like you want, if you are doing all the right things, its working. def use your clothes being too big or inches lost as a huge motivator. you are a success story.
  2. what a great feeling to go from 300 to the 200. next for you is the 100's..it is reachable. look how fabulous you are doing. GREAT job and congrats to you hon.
  3. when i joined this forum a year ago, i was a bigum and really didnt come across people of my size.....i found a couple but not very many. kinda disheartening sometimes to know that what i weigh now (is where alot of people) start and i read/hear them going i am so fat and on and on and i like heck, i am glad to be at this number today........(compared to where i was). so i do compare myself but def try to stay logical at the same time because my pound loss is the same as anyone elses. its gonna come off the same way as it was put on. just may take me longer but i will get there eventually.
  4. since i started this, i love the peach ice tea (from crystal light and also the walmart brand) its all i drink....(also like the margarita flavor alot also)
  5. my office has catered lunches/breakfasts all the time so i feel for you am hoping they have some fruit for you..i am glad mine has that.. just eat smart and dont over stress yourself..trust yourself to make good choices.. thats how i wing it...
  6. no I don't but that is not to say I don't miss it.
  7. i make mine on a sunday and the last ones we eat is friday..
  8. i also have a vitamix that i got off qvc when i was on my pre op. i use it just about every day. is alittle pricey but its awesome. they often have ez pay on this item on there
  9. i remember going to mine (and i did via video conference) i surely did. it was enlightening and it def made me go OH my gosh. i had no idea.
  10. isnt that the truth lee when some here at work see me (not eating our catered stuff) at least 3x a week its whats wrong, here eat this or that....what about mind your business.. i guess i have learned, its up to me to do it regardless of anyone else.....because its me who over ate and didnt exercise and its up to me to do just the opposite to lose weight...aka with the help of the band and plication....so far so freeking good lee, your comments/posts to me have helped over the months. THANK YOU
  11. i had to do a sleep test also (part of my pre op) found out i had mild apnea and had to do it again and sleep with the little mash all in all, it wasnt tooo bad.did end up getting the cutest little pink machine and mask so its okay... stopped using mine at 3 months post op.. when are you scheduled to go?
  12. def call your doctor and let them know what is going on and hopefully they can advise you or help you feel better.
  13. well, then dont revert back to old habits that made us need WLS in the first place. that is what will make you gain...as long as you keep eating (well and it seems as if you are as you have lost 80 pounds) and exercising, you are well on your way..
  14. **just want to add there are complications with all WLS**
  15. if you get the band or the bypass or the sleeve or the ds you will have to change what you eat, how much you eat and develop a whole new mental attitude from dieting letting whichever tool/ wls to help you and its not a miracle cure all. its up to the person if they are a success or not but do not think (as many do) its an easy way out and you will lose 100 pounds a week.. best of luck in whatever you decide.
  16. no need to get frustrated. the band is working even if you dont think it is. yes you are healing but you are also doing very good. just keep going. and def stop weighing so much. the scale goes up and down all day long for all sorts of reasons. you drink a big 16 oz, you are up that much....and then pee it out....but that being said, now is the time to get your head into the game. you will get replies about bandster hell, i dont know about that, but i just wanted to post to hang in there. the success is there. just need you to realize it.
  17. yes i agree mis, all dr's say different things. i was gonna input what my dr said, but its different then some i read on here but what i am doing works for me. i guess do what (our) doctors/nutritionist says to do
  18. wonderful news. this is a great forum to read all things about the band. good and not soo good. i started at 336 and my bmi was 62 and i am 5'2 (on a good day) hard being as wide as i am tall stay positive. its worth it
  19. i dont burp very often but i relish my little hiccups...that is my sign that i be done eating
  20. i dont have any tips, i just (stop) drinking before i eat and wait 20-30 after. i just do it..you have more control over yourself then you know, i truly believe that.
  21. dont know that as i am at work
  22. right before i started my pre op, i went and bought one and it was like 36 dollars and hub i thought would spazz...so he took the label off of it, and the nutritionist guidelines and off to walmart he went and found the whey extreme and matched ingredients (and i checked with dr) and i have used this for 8 months...the only flavor i didnt like was pnut butter..to sweet for me. but mixed w/chocolate, it is good.
  23. sounds good. what flavor??
  24. my hub would tell me not worry until we have something to worry about. as matter of fact he told me that yesterday..as i was just a stressing... hang in there. it will happen. the universe (and this forum) and me is on your side.
  25. working good......my dr put primer in it and with my plication, ole girl is doing okay...i appreciate you asking.
