  1. Well, after the band, most people are light weights when it comes to drinking. There isn't much in the stomach to soak up the alcohol, so getting drunk a lot quicker happens. Also, beer is a no-no due to the carbonation. Same goes with soda as chasers. Most alcoholic beverages have a lot of calories. Empty calories at that. I only drink alcohol every once in a while, and only have a couple shots when I do drink now. I only drink at home, and have tea or some other non carbonated beverage as a chaser. Either that, or I will have a couple glasses of wine. As they say - everything in moderation.

  2. So sorry to hear that hun! I know you don't know me, but... *hugs*. The only thing I can say to make it even a little better is that at least she didn't have to deal with all the pain and agony of the lung cancer for long. I know that isn't much, but it is better for her in the long run. She is out of pain now, and she knows you love her and miss her.

  3. Glad you are doing well! I can't imagine having gone home the same day. I wanted to stay at the hospital for 2 nights instead of just the one! I dunno if I would have been able to not stay in the hospital at all. The pain pump is the only thing that got me through that first day and night. I wasn't even allowed to drink anything - even a sip of water- until after my barium swallow the next day.

Wow, I would have freaked out on the person who made that mistake! It would have made me worried sick that the doctor actually did do something other than I was supposed to have done! It happens way too often, so I woulda freaked.

Hope you keep feeling better and better, sweetie! Good luck!

  4. Congrats on your milestone! I hope to one day be considered overweight too!I have a goal that is bigger than some people think it should be, but I don't want to lose too much for me. I have been big since I was 14-15 yrs old, so losing more than a certain amount will make me not feel like...me. But, everyone has to make their own personal goals, and revise them as need be. My weight goal is 180 lbs. I want to not be small, but I still want to get healthy! And me at that weight will be healthier than I have been in AGES!
