I started my process for the band in January 2011. Back then I wasn't really prepared for the long road ahead with the whole approval process. I'm not sure why I was surprised it wouldn't be easy. Anything you really want in life takes a lot of hard work and time. After attending all the Dr required classes, tests and appointments I found out that my insurance required a 6 month weight management pre approval. I kept my head up and pressed forward through all the hurdles I had to jump. That brings me to the current date, August 2nd, 2012. My surgrey is set for the 15th of this month and I couldn't be more happy and excited!! I will update as my new journey with the band begins
