It definitely sounds like you need a new surgeon to take over your care. I can't believe the complete lack of not only compassion but healthy direction. Did he set you up with a nutrionist ever? Give you food guidelines at all?
An important piece of advice I tell people often, and this is just about Lap-Band it's anytime you're dealing with a doctor: Remember, you are the boss. They are they employee. The doctor works for you. If you don't like the service you're getting? FIRE THEM!
I would start by researching other surgeons in your area. Then make an appointment, explain your situation, and see if they'd be willing to take over. When you go to explain your situation, get a feel for them. Don't stop looking until you find one you're comfortable with.
    Best wishes to you.

I go to the gym 5 times a week and workout for an hour. I spend 30 minutes on the treadmill, 15 minutes on the eliptical, and 15 minutes on the bicycle. I was told not to do any weights or lifting until my next fill on February 7th. I eventually hope to do the eliptical for 30 minutes (that thing burns some serious calories!) and 15 minutes on everything else. Also, once I get clearance, I'll probably do strength exercises 2 out of the 5 days a week.

Dear ready, thanks for backing me up...I thought I sounded like a b***h but its important to speak the truth...this is an epic struggle and not for wimps! My first year or so was insane but now I am at a point where it is pretty easy...I just finally tried on my wedding dress (married in 1989) yesterday and it was the tiniest bit loose...life is good!

I was heavier when I met my future hubby. Prob about 20 lbs more. He joined the navy, we got married. He lost weight and I gained more. Two kids and 15 yrs later I was about 60 lbs more than him. Now that I weigh less I don't plan on going back. He came home Tuesday with all these Vitamins and has decided to get in shape:). I'm glad we are getting healthier for ourselves and our kids.

After the initial first couple of months losing about 20 lbs per month I have settled into good restriction and lose about 9-12 lbs per month consistantly.
I have very good restriction now and am full after about 4-5 oz of food. To help my band work more effectlvely I eat 1000-1200 calories per day. I am looking forward to getting to goal in about 50 lbs and maintaining....

I don' recommend it, but I had to have my "Last Official Dream Dinner" of my choice, knowing that will never happen the same way anymore.
I say I do not recommend it be ause I would not want to see anyone screw up their surgery.
I had to loose 20 lbs prior to surgery. My surgery was on a Monday. The Friday prior I had my final meeting and weigh in with the surgeon. Everything was a go.
Saturday my family and I went out to the restaurant of my choice for a "Pig Out"
Sunday I fasted all day. Nothing but Water.
    Monday went without a hitch.
