Just relax and start putting together your shopping list for the things you'll need to take with you and to stock your cabinets and refrigerator with.

  • I don' recommend it, but I had to have my "Last Official Dream Dinner" of my choice, knowing that will never happen the same way anymore. I say I do not recommend it be ause I would not want to see

pre-op for what i go for my pre-op testing on tuesday and my final weight in on wednesday if that is what u are referring to......

No, its a meal plan some med centers have you go on before the surgery. In that case I would suggest a low cal diet, to shrink your liver, so you come out with a successful surgery.

I say I do not recommend it be ause I would not want to see anyone screw up their surgery.

I had to loose 20 lbs prior to surgery. My surgery was on a Monday. The Friday prior I had my final meeting and weigh in with the surgeon. Everything was a go.

Saturday my family and I went out to the restaurant of my choice for a "Pig Out"

Sunday I fasted all day. Nothing but Water.

Monday went without a hitch.

I went to a "All You Can Eat" Chinese Buffet, complete with carving stations, suhi bar, raw bar, ec, etc.

I KNOW I WILL NEVER STEP FOOT INSIDE ONE OF THOSE EVER AGAIN!

Congrats!!! My date is Jan 30! I don't have a pre op diet, just clear liquids the day before.

Clean out the fridge/pantry to make sure you are not tempted by anything, prepare a shopping list of the things you will need for surgery, food, and set some short term goals to achieve. Find recipes for low-everything.... think of an excersise routine when Dr allows.......Keep Smiling! and BE Positive! It's hard to give advice when you are feeling the same way- I'm nervous and anxious too! Looking forward to a healthier new me!
