  1. Happy Holidays to you too!

  2. Your surgeon is letting you eat veggies this soon out? I had to wait three weeks before starting soft purees.

  3. I never tried sugar free butterscotch pudding and I see it all the time in the store. Now I am going to try it.

  4. The pounds and inches come off very quickly for the first 3 to 6 months and then you will notice the weight still coming off but slower. Just be careful to not over do it now. You are still healing internally and you shouldn't do anything more than walking for exercise. Remember to get your fluids in so you don't dehydrate. Congrats to both of you!

9 Days After Surgery And No Desire To Eat

Don't worry about the protein just stay hydrated. The protein willl come over time. I lived off watermelon, oranges, and water for three weeks after surgery. My NUT allowed it because nothing else would stay down. Call your NUT and ask for suggestions.

    Dizzy

This happened to me twice. The first time I was taken off my high blood pressure medication. Thw second time I was told I am not eating enough calories. I thought I was eating enough.
  7. You may want to cut back on some of the exercise. You are omly 3 weeks post-surgery. Give your body time to adjust to the lower calories before use exercise to decrease them. At 3 weeks post-op my doctor to just walk for exercise since I was still healing internally.
  8. I had the same problem and it wasn't dehydration but I wasn't consuming enough calories. I was drinking more than eating because drinking liquids went down easier. I had to eat more.

    Coffee

I was told bu my NUT to avoid caffeine because it blocks the body from absorbing calcium. You can have decaf.
  10. For me it wasn't about the hospital but be prepared at home. You won't feel lik shopping and can't lift anything heavy so make sure you are stocked up for all the food stages.
  11. Awesome! Your results are anazing.

    Surgery Tomorrow

Good luck and try to relax. Just keep imagining yourself at your ideal weight.
  13. I know exactly how you feel. I had a hard go of it for a month after my surgery. I couldn't get the protein in but my nutritionist said not to worry about that just keep hydrated. I remember thinking I had made the biggest mistake of my life and that I would never make it but here I am a year after and I know I made the best decision of my life. Just drink Water whenever you can and I promise it will get easier. I lived off water, watermelon and sucking on oranges while on full liquids. You can do it.

    Hair Loss

Hello there, I know hair loss is a side effect of gastric bypass but I haven't seen much on hair loss and the sleeve. Has anyone experienced hair loss after surgery? Is anyone doing anything to stop hair loss? I notice hair loss when I was myself at home but I don't really notice anymore loss than before surgery. It could just be my eyes playing tricks on me. TIA for your help!
  15. Congratulations Nikki! For those of us still under a year since our surgeries, how do you keep the weight coming off? I have heard so many stories of people hitting plateaus. I don't want to hit a wall.
