  1. That is so great. My goal is 140 lbs loss I hope to get there like you. Thanks for letting me know its possible!
  2. Doesn't it feel great to see that your hard work is paying off! Congratulations!
  3. I am excited to say I have lost 65 lbs and slowly but surely gonna reach that 100 lb mark. I was banded Dec 19th 2011. It hasn't been an easy journey but so worth it!
  4. My doc said not for two weeks. You don't want or need an infection!
  5. That is soooo true!
  6. I have to say with losing 60 lbs I have started to notice people treating me differently. I wonder if I hold my head higher or carry myself with more confedience. I am happily married but I do notice men looking more than they use to. I guess what I am saying I am feeling better about me and I think it is showing! Anyone else noticing things?
  7. It feels great doesn't it. And the clothes always seem cuter in the smaller sizes!
  8. My husband at first was not for the surgery at all. He was raised why do surgery if nothings broke. I don't think he realized I was broke with gaining all the weight that I did. I lost my dad almost 4 years ago to brain cancer and eating was how I coped with it. But once I told this is what I needed to do for my health he was more supportive with it. After surgery he was really supportive with every step so far. The only times he gets a little frustrated is when I get something stuck and there is not much you can do but wait it out. I had one time I got some chicken majorly stuck and he was so ready to take me to the er but it finally went through after two hours. But I love my husband and I want to thank him for going through this with me. He tries to understand but really can't unless he has been through this.
  9. I decided to tell people because I am a cosmetologist and have been for over fifteen years. I told my family of course and my husband which he wasn't for it at first. My husband does sometimes get frustrated with me or maybe just scared for me when something gets stuck or I'm feeling sick because he can't fix it. I have told a lot of my clients because so many of them I have do.e their hair for so many years that they are friends not just clients. I like people knowing because for me it keeps me on the right path and I like the support.
  10. It seems so unreal that I am down that much but I have clothes that haven't fit forever and I can wear them once again. It hasn't been easy and I haven't been perfect on eating everyday but it is slowly coming off. I am feeling so great. My mom told me to go to the grocery store and pick up 6 ten lb bags of potatoes and see how much I have gotten rid of. I can believe I was carrying that around. Wow I can say I am proud but not done. Next goal 100. Here I come 100. Haha
  11. I am 59 lbs and was banded Dec 19th.
  12. Yeah I can't eat bread either. And I also have never been brave enough to try pb because I am sure of the out come. I am on my fourth fill and it has limited lots if my foods. Since it is trail and hurt if it doesn't work out. I know how I am losing weight because there are a lot of foods that are no Nos any more. But I know for sure bread is a no no.
  13. I was banded Dec 19 2011 and Doc Mortenson did my surgery. He is such a good doctor and cares about you. He has gone above and beyond for me. I am doing well and hope to continue to so well. I would reccomend him to anyone.
  14. I take one biotin a day and it is 10000 milagrams. That's what my nutritionist suggested.
  15. I went to the doctor last weds and he said if I am losing hair that it should stop soon and start growing back. I think my hair loss has started to slow down but not all the way. I am for sure getting good quality protein and enough of it. I am also taking biotin and zinc everyday because reading up in it that what docs recommend. Has anyone hair started to grow back after that lost some????
  16. I have lost 58 lbs. Went to doctor today and was wearing some summer clothes from last year and they were way too big. So sad I have to go shopping again. Ross has become my new favorite store. I can get clothes there for cheaper. Congrats to you!
  17. I was banded on Dec 19th 2011 and its been a couple of weeks of me loading hair. I am not sure if its the major shock of the lap band to my system or lack of nuitrients or from the anastegia OK spelt that wrong from the surgery. I am not sure of the cause but I hope it stops soon. I love my hair and when I was bigger it was my hair that I still loved. But I am taking biotin every day and drinking lots of unjury protein. I just want to know what else I can do. And how long does this last? Does the hair ever come back?!?!?!? Help please!
  18. I have lost 53 lbs so more than half way there. I am only 4 months out and by my year anniversary I hope for 100 lbs. I can't wait to reach that goal and feel so much better!
