Ok me and my fiance was banded the same day. Today he got stuck i assume for the first time. He was eating a peanut butter sandwich. Im unsure if it was the bread or peanut butter. Any thoughts?

  • Well we normally toast are bread with no problems. He ate the bread untoasted with pb and his chest started hurting and took a bit to pass. He thinks he ate bread before not toasted and had no problem

It could be both. I can't eat white bread and I know a lot of people can't have pb unless it's mixed with something 'wet' like oatmeal, yogurt, or smoothies.

I would say the bread...i cant eat bread pasta or rice its hard for me .......everyone is diff just take small bites and eat slow......

yea thats great you can eat bread i cant like i said because the carbs exspand and get stuck...im on my 4th fill at first i was fine once i started my fills they were getting stuck.....

Yeah I can't eat bread either. And I also have never been brave enough to try pb because I am sure of the out come. I am on my fourth fill and it has limited lots if my foods. Since it is trail and hurt if it doesn't work out. I know how I am losing weight because there are a lot of foods that are no Nos any more. But I know for sure bread is a no no.

I can eat bread except for cheap white bread to clumpy. Bread and peanut butter are not a good food choice. Lots of carbs and fat.

my doctor said no peanut butter!! like ever!! hope it passes soon!

Yum peanut butter! Have had the band 6 months & what I can & can't eat changes all the time! Try taking teeny bites until you guys work out what ur stomach can handle. If teeny bites work then maybe he got stuck because of a bigger bite?
