January 2012 Sleevers!
Yeah, you are lucky, my doctor will not let me do any creamed or blend stuff in either. I was tempted but my new sleeve can be sensitive!

January 2012 Sleevers!
I had practically no pain with my surgery, which is uncommon for me, because surgeries in the past I was a wimp. I started driving after 2 days because I was not on any pain medication. My doctor told me I could drive as long as I was not taking any pain medication.

January 2012 Sleevers!
Hi Tif, I am 2 1/2 weeks out now and the the first two weeks I had only 2 BM's. Passing gas is a very good thing, my doctor told me in the hospital, it means your system is starting to recover from surgery and starting to work properly again, tho it does take some time for a BM, as long as your not feeling constipated.

January 2012 Sleevers!
Hi Drea, Glad to hear you are doing very well. I was sleeved on the 16th and doing well also, I did have stomach spasms everytime I would drink for about a week but now that is over. Like you, it seems like I have no limitations of the amount of things I do. Just been busy running here and there. I glad to hear you progress to different soups. For your dry mouth, my nutritionist said you can chew sugar free gum, that seems to help me, but just remember you need to keep a close eye on your liquid intake and make sure you are not getting dehyrated. Keep up the good work. I have lost 18lbs (including my loss with my pre op diet)

Pre-op Diet Nightmare!
GoshTiffanye, all liquids.. that has to be hard. I am able to have non starchy veggies anytime and in the morning a bowl of cream of wheat. My surgery is 3 days before you. Good Luck to you !!! I am on my 10th day of the pre op diet and stepped on the scale for the first time today and I am down 10lbs. Keeping busy and drinking is the key.

January 2012 Sleevers!
Hi Everyone!! I am on my 10th day out of14 days of my pre op diet. Monday is my surgery date. I really have been doing very good so far. The highlight of my day is SF pudding with protein in it. Today, I had SF white chocolate pudding with simply vanilla Matrix. I can have unlimited non starchy veggies. I love frying up mushroom and red onions. I dread Sunday the day before surgery, I can only have a breakfast and the rest of the day clear liquids; the I have to drink that horrible stuff citrate of magnesium at 3:00pm and stay near a bathroom at all times. Yikes! I have to be at the hospital at 5:00am (an hour away) and surgery time is 7:15am. How is everyone who already been sleeved this month??

The protein I have been using is Unjury and Nectar and Matrix. Matrix so far is the best for me.

January 2012 Sleevers!
I have been on my pre op diet since the 2nd, tomorrow will be one week, surgery the 16th. I have 2 protein shakes with milk and 2 protein shakes with water. The shakes with milk are okay but I am having trouble with the protein shakes with water, just not the same as the ones with milk. I can have unlimited non starchy veggies and chicken broth. I am tired of soup. One more week, I am sure I can get through, but I usually go to bed a little hungry. (I dreamt the other day, I cheated on my pre op diet!! I was glad it was only a dream!) I also can have sugar free pudding once a day and cream of wheat once a day. Hope everyone is getting through their pre op diet ok, if they started it.
