Protein Shakes after Surgery
You are going to get at least a 100 different answers about this... Trial and error is how we learn what our bodies need for nurishment, to stay healthy, and to lose weight. In 'my' personal experience, I never drank Protein drinks, however I am not getting my recommended daily calories in and wanted to 'up' my protein. Through experimenting I found I needed the Protein Drink daily. I continue to lose steady with drinking a protein shake every day, it does NO harm what so ever to me, I am just about making my daily caloric quota and deff. getting in all the protein my body needs. There are protein shakes out there you can find that are only 110-160 calories, 1 gram fat, 4 grams of carbs, and 25 grams protein in each scoop. Walmart has a 2lb tub for only $19.99 (chocolate frosty), Its pretty tasty and very affordable. *** DO WHAT WORKS FOR YOU***

Need Exercise Advice
Some great ideas above! You can go to youtube.com and type searches for "chair exercise" .. they have some pretty good ones on there to follow. I live in NJ and we are stuck with very cold winter now, however I did invest in a machine for indoors (gazelle edge), it was cheap and fits the level of activity I can do. I also spent a couple extra more on 2 lb dumbells and a stretch band, I use those for upper body exercise. One of our schools in town offer the use of their swimming pool for $4 to the community, so I take advantage of that as well.

Crab Cakes
Made these Low-fat version Crab Cakes, and I have to say they are pretty good! Ingredients: 1 lb. Crabmeat (I used Louis Kemp) any kind of lump crabmeat will be fine 2 large eggs (beaten) 2 scallions (diced) 1/4 cup fresh parsley (chopped fine) 1/4 cup cocktail sauce 1/4 tsp. black pepper 1/2 red pepper (diced fine) 1/2 cup Light Mayo 1 lemon, juiced (lemon juice will work just fine) 1 tsp. Old Bay seasoning 1 tsp. tabasco sauce 3/4 cup panko breadcrumbs (I used whole wheat breadcrumbs instead) 3 tbs. cooking oil (I use canola) **if you don't have all the ingredients you can substitute** Directions: In medium mixing bowl, combine all ingredients except the panko breadcrumbs and Cooking Oil. When all of the ingredients are combined, gently mix in panko crumbs. Form crab cake patties using 1/3-cup mixture per patty. Place on cookie sheet lined with parchment paper and refrigerate for 30 minutes to 1 hour. Place Cooking Oil in large, nonstick skillet, and brown patties over medium heat and sauté the patties until they are golden brown on each side. Serve warm. What Would You Wear If You Lose Weight?
I totally agree with you there! Being overweight does not mean you have to dress sloppy! My family and friends always tell me I have a flair for fashion and always dress very nice! However with saying that, I do miss the 3 inch heels

sick and stressed and not eating right
Jenn, You've lost an amazing 102 pounds! That is alone a HUGE accomplishment, one you should be super proud of! This journey has not be easy on any of us, we still have to struggle and find our own way and paths to success. Yes, life gives us obstacles and hurdles, but in order to boucne back up, we must jump over/around them. You are going to get over this hurdle! We are all here rooting for ya!! (hugs)

This is how normal people do it...
I get it now, eating 'normal'. My habits have changed tremendously since being banded. I know I still struggle and do find myself fighting with the hunger demons. I hope one day that changes so that I don't have to continue the constant battle daily... Well put Terry
