Possessed!!! so I am 10 days out post op and have been really trying to not weigh myself everyday but like anyone post op, im really excited and really cant wait to see the number on the scale. Soooo the first week, my scale says 297 and then three days later it says 292 then a day later it says 289 lbs. I just find all of this so hard to believe. Now I am following my post op 3 weeks of liquids diet and have been getting in as much protein as possible and adding it to my watery strained soups and Crystal lite etc so I do know that I should be loosing weight but I just cant believe its happening so fast. I mean like 2 pounds a day!!! Shut the front door! I am in denial. However, I can fit my clothes again and that's awesome! can I fit my "skinny" clothes yet, no but I was a size 24 and now I can fit my 18-20 size pants so that's nice.

- 24 lbs pre op and lost 17 lbs since surgery. I am really in denial though. My scale keeps going down and I just don't believe it!

Protein shakes will do nothing for your hunger during preop. You are just going to torture yourself.

You should drink meal replacement shakes like slimfast for all 3 meals. I really enjoyed the Equate brand meal replacement shakes because they taste sooooooo good! You can also put it in a blinder with ice and make a thick ice cream type shake. its really yummy

I had a "last Dinner" celebration scheduled too but my long liquid diet ruined that. Its Cool! Now im no longer celebrating with food!

Not protein shakes, Meal Replacement Shakes! The difference? One keeps you full and the other offers liquid protein. You should save the protein drinks for after surgery. Buy the Equate Meal replacement shakes at walmart. 6pk is 4$ which is enough for 2 days or the 12pk is $8.88. i lost 15lbs in 10 days with them.

Girl if you dont got to walmart and buy some meal replacement shakes, im gonna kick you. They are awesome and keeps you pretty satisfied. I buy the Equate brands because they taste really good. Welcome to my preop diet WORLD!!
