  1. you go girl! Stay Strong! everybody and their momma tried to talk me out of it! When we are overweight, they have something to say but when we want to become healthier, THEN its a bad idea. what the crap!!

  4. i wish i could call and get my date myself. I am soooooooooo impatient that i have to calm my nerves day by day just so i dont freak out on someone. lol. I did everything. waititng waiting waititng. My journey has been One year and 1 month. I am going thru insurance so its a bit of a longer process but i am deeply glad its just about over. Thank you Jesus!
  5. i GOT APPROVED ON oCT 31ST and i am waiting for the scheduler to call me any day now. I hope i can get scheduled asap. i dont care if they say monday, Im there. Good thing ive completed all of my preops so that one thing i dont have to do. Congrates to you girls!!!!!

  7. Dont give up! During these 2 months, you can learn how to take care of yourself and love yourself for who you are. The surgery is important so that we can be healthy. p.s. 8 weeks isnt that long.
  8. It has been a 13 month process up to this point. Nutritionist for 6 months, doctor's visits, psych eval, run around, run around, run around, argue,wait,argue,wait, stress out, run around again . . . . and Finally Approved for surgery!!! annd . . . . . now we wait again!!! i dont know whats taking so long. im so stressed over this entire process. i feel a huge weight on my chest. . . . . still waiting

  11. i have the same concern. i am 26 with a bmi of 46 and i am seeing my nutritionist now. My insurance asks that i see a nutritionist for 6mths (once a month) before approval. So at what point am i suppose to go to a meeting in which i am given information regarding which procedure i should get? I was told that the lap band has too many issues and that the gastric or sleeve is better. #confused
  12. Is there a reason that post op people fall of the face of the earth after about a year? Like do they become more busy or popular?
