  4. Well after posting this topic yesterday, i went home and began giving my 4 yr old daughter a bath when suddenly she looked at me and said," Mommy, Youre little!" lol. I was soooo surprised and super excited at the same time. I know i cant look the same if my 4 yr old noticed.

  7. so i have lost 82 lbs total including pre-op and post op. i am 5 weeks out. i was a size 24 and 333 lbs at the beginning and today i am 251 lbs and a size 18/20. i get lots of compliments about my progress and every one says i look great and i feel great too but i dont feel like i look 82 pounds smaller. its weird, i know but when i compare body pictures, its very difficult for me to see. Can anyone understand?
  8. Thank you! I use the all of the actual weight training machines but not the free weights like dumbells and all that. I just start off with 30 lbs then increase is about every other week or as i feel ready. It has to be enough weight that i feel a burn while completing a set. it cant be too easy! keep challenging your self and become comfortable with being uncomfortable. and even when i cant make it to the gym, i do jillian michaels workout dvds at home. Keep it moving! but make sure you eat a protein shake or bar or something before and after you work out or you will feel terrible! never workout on an empty stomach.
  9. typically i begin with 20 minutes of cardio (elliptical, bike, treadmill with incline) then i begin my weight training for 40 minutes and that includes doing 3-4 sets on each weight training machine. a set includes 10 repetitions on each machine. i usually do 3-4 sets on each machine. i hope this helps!

  12. Dont forget that when if the scale isnt moving that doesnt mean youre not losing weight because thats when our bodies lose inches. Thats why you went down a notch on your belt. Stay encouraged!

  15. depends on what your doctor's orders include. Mine suggested liquids for 3 weeks following surgery then 3 weeks of soft foods then full solids. I would stick to soups (strained, no chunks). Be easy with your new little tummy. Congrats!!

  19. I was sleeved at Fountain Valley Hospital. I had a good experience. Only thing that was kind of annoying was that they dont offer a couch or anything for your guest who plan to stay over night to sleep on and let me tell you, those chairs are not comfortable according to my mom. and also the staff can be loud so bring some ear plugs. But everything else was great! Good luck darling.
