  1. A fitbit is a little device that you clip on you. Usually on your pocket. It's like a pedometer but so much more. It tracks your steps, how many flights of stairs you've climbed, calories burned and a clock. It is very simple to use and connects easily to a computer. There is a website to go on and customize your settings, log food and track your progress. There is also Ann app for your phone. Very handy and easy to use tool.

  2. Definitely sucks. There is something about having this surgery that makes people think they have rights to say this stuff. I've lost nearly 30 pounds in 2 months and my mom actually said I was lying to her about the weight loss because she can't see any change in me. If she is serious and does start bugging you about choices, gently explain to her that you have a food plan you are following and if you are having a treat it means you worked it in and it's ok.

  3. Are you logging your food? Maybe some not so good stuff has been creeping in there and you just haven't "noticed" it. Also, our bodies hold onto weight for a lot of different reasons I am sure yours will get the picture soon and let it go.

  4. Some things to keep in mind; Are you a little "backed up"? How much salt is in your diet? More water would definitely help you with both. Also if you are eating a lot of sugar free things the artificial sweetners may not be well tolerated by your body and they could lead to bloating and water retention. Just a thought, good luck.
