  1. Please share the "trick" to getting your liquids down! Congrats to you all who just had the surgery and the pre-oppers! Question, I'm confused with the vitamins, are you able to swallow the pills immediately after the surgery or in liquid form only?
  2. Congrats to the both of you!! I'll be sleeved on May 1st and can't wait to see what life has in store for me 2 months out!
  3. You look great!! Congratulations! My surgery date is May 1st and I am nervous and excited! I am also on YouTube as jmcbribe ~ doing my journey there so I can have something to look back at ONCE I meet goal!
  4. My surgery is May 1st and my husband has a stomach virus!! I have been sleeping in another bedroom and staying as far away as possible!! My preop visit is on Friday the 13th to see the anesthesiologist and NUT for liquid diet requirements and pay the required $3000 prior to surgery. No money, no surgery. I could really use that money elsewhere but I dare not touch it! All will work out for you ~ best wishes!
  5. It's important to not compare your journey to others. No two bodies are the same. You'll lose the weight ~ can't wait to hear your progress months from now!
  6. Mita, I'm nervous too; however, this is not my first surgery. We'll be just fine! Claim only the positive! Positive thinking = positive results! My surgery is May 1st and I'm actually ready to get on with recovery. What I'm most worried about is the fact I've never been a planner, never planned meals, just ate when and what I wanted but all that is about to change. Just remember why we are taking these steps. You'll do fine! I look forward to hearing your progress.
  7. WOW!! Thank you so much for sharing! My surgery is scheduled for May 1st. I'm nervous and excited!!
  8. @sleevensd My guess is depending on how big your liver is. I was told I had a fatty liver and need to reduce the size greatly. I have my preop visit on Friday, 13th and then my NUT will tell me what's required on mine. I hope I get at least one meal...best wishes to you!
  9. May 1st for me!! Sent from my iPad using VST
  10. Hello Everybody! I was finally approved on 3/28/12 and my surgery is scheduled for 4/1/12! What a great way to start the month! Sent from my iPad using VST
  11. Though I haven't had the surgery yet, from watching YouTube videos, most people are recommending the Isopure, Amplify protein powder, I am currently experimenting with the Unjury unflavored and it's not bad at all! I usually mix it with a Jamba Juice Smoothie or Skim milk and through a banana in the blender. Protein jello, protein water....Hope this helps! Best wishes, I get sleeved on May 1!
  12. I met him on my 3rd visit and will again on my preop visit on the 13th. I was approved on March 28 and surgery is scheduled for May 1. Started program in November, 2011. Approval took exactly 2 weeks.
  13. You look great!!! Congratulations!!!
