  1. Just had to share this! My best buds got me out of the house today, we went to see The Avengers - IT'S A MUST SEE!!! But one of my friends traveled from out of town and was just blown away from the amount of weight I lost exercising prior to surgery. I started in October and kept it up until the day before surgery. Of course I couldn't see the difference, so they snapped a photo of me today and compared it to another photo of me....I still can't believe what I see...I lost 30lbs...Im just speechless... 2. This is my hubby and best friend tonight (Mayweather vs Cotto fight party) and I'm 4 days post op. I'm not hungry BUT my head was like YOU CAN EAT THAT pizza, GET A SLICE. Of course I didn't but I know one day, in moderation, I'll be able to enjoy it again. YES, my hubby downed the entire box!! I'm just praying for discipline. Enjoy the fact that you are able to eat your favorite right now, may not be as much as you liked but it satisfies the craving. Best wishes to you! Sent from my iPad using VST
  3. Great job! Congrats! I was sleeved on 5/1/12. I began exercising in October, weighed in at 278 and day of surgery I weighed in at 249.5!! I am looking forward to what this journey has in store for me!
  4. Just had surgery May 1st. My doctor said I could return in 3 weeks but I took the entire month, just to concentrate on me. I have an easy desk job, but I wanted to be sure I take time and get used to the new changes.
  5. I have a notepad next to me and i jot down the time and how much I consume. I'll try and snap a photo and see if it will upload.
  6. I walk from my garage to my mail box 2 times (will count the steps next time) I walk my hall from one end of the house to the other about 5 times. I try to walk every hour. I'm sipping water in a 1 oz medicine cup. The most I've got down consecutively is 3 oz. not pushing it at all. Since 8 am this morning i have consumed 27 oz of water and ensure high protein shake and one oz of jello. It's 3:40 eastern time. I've surpassed the minimum requirement so if i get 48 oz in today, I'm happy. Check out my vlog on YouTube: I'm jmcbribe - I just posted a post op day 4 video. I try to sip every 15 to 20 minutes. Don't hesitate to ask questions, I'll do the best i can to answer!!
  7. Not sure why the drain was added, I did see a lot of blood/fluid drained. But i feel good! I have no complaints!
  8. Hope you get to feeling better soon! I'm up to 24 oz since 8am this morning it's 1:40 eastern time now. ALOT of walking, sipping 2 oz at a time.
  9. Glad to know that we are all off to a good start! They just removed my drain and that was the most pain I have felt since! It didn't last long. Up walking, eating jello and drinking crystal light! I go home shortly. Very impressed with the care I have received! Sent from my iPad using VST
  10. Surgery was delayed this morning due to scheduling issues so didn't go in until 1130 am. I FEEL GREAT YOU ALL! NO GAS PAINS WHATSOEVER!!! Haven't pushed the pain pump NOT ONCE!! I feel the soreness at the incision sites but overall, GOD IS GOOD!! I definitely felt the prayers and they are working! Check my update out on YouTube I'm jmcbribe. Nurse just walked in and said i will be walking in about 30 minutes. I can't believe how good I feel!!! Best wishes to you all!!
