Congratulations!!! Best wishes and a speedy recovery to you!!! How did you do with the preop liquid diet? Did you have to do 2 weeks? Mind sharing what you did to get through? My preop visit is on April 13 (FRIDAY) and I am assuming they will want me to start that Saturday or Monday ~ My family has already discussed the "LAST SUPPER" ~ We're having Thanksgiving in April and then it's off to the new me!!!

My copay is $3000 payable two weeks prior to surgery and at the preop visit.

Mine was found during preop testing. It will be corrected during the surgery and I was told that I would be fine! My doctor said that they see this alot and it's nothing I should be worried about, they'll just correct while doing the sleeve. Best wishes to you!

I am right behind you Randi, I have my preop appointment on the 13th and was also told about my fatty liver and would be required to do a 2 week liquid diet. By any chance, did they recommend any sugar free pops to you? I would assume you could eat as many as possible as well as the broths. My plan is to keep broths and pudding and water (although I may be very tired of them by the end of 2 weeks) close by at all times to ease the hunger pains as well as go to bed VERY EARLY to not think about it. Hello Everyone!!! I finally received my approval letter for the VSG and my tentative surgery date is MAY 1, 2012!! I've gone through just about all the emotions thus far. I'm supposed to start my pre-op liquid diet next week after I see my NUT on the 13th and I'm terrified!! I've read a lot of blogs about what others are doing to get through. Does Bougie size really matter??? Just asking that everyone keep me lifted in prayers! Best wishes to those who are about to have the surgery as well as those recovering!! GNC has LEAN SHAKE: 25g protein, lactose free, 6 carbs, 170 calories. Flavors Strawberries n Cream and Vanilla Bean are delicious especially when they're ice cold!! They have premade shakes or the powder. I've only tried premade and hope my taste buds don't change afterwards because i really like them! NO AFTER TASTE AT ALL!!

Disney, my doctor told me yesterday that he wants me to do a 4 WEEK LIQUID DIET. I freaked out and it still bothered me today. I feel loss, afraid that I won't make it...my mind is all over the place. Thanks for sharing what you ate, it gives me ideas. I have one more appointment before they submit paperwork to my insurance. I was told I had to do a 4week liquid diet to shrink my liver. Of course, when he said that everything else sounded like Charlie Browns teacher. I was very upset yesterday, but today, I'm coping. I haven't even started yet, I have my per-op appointment next month where they will go more in depth about the requirements. I know it's a mind set and I'm trying very hard to overcome that.
