  1. My surgery was 12/21 and my shoulder pain is soooooo annoying!! Does it feel to all of you similar to knot????? I felt a knot in my left shoulder in the hospital but now I don't feel the knot but the pain is constant. If someone massages it, it feels better during the massage. But then, it comes back!!! Ugh.......
  2. Shellie, it sounds like your surgeon used durabond. It is a glue. I believe that it will also eventually fall off for you just like the steristrips I have. I have 5 incisions. Mine are not terribly itchy yet. But my port site stings every once in awhile.
  3. The fb group for December bands is a private group. I love it. Nobody else can see your posts except for this group. I too have told most people that all I had done was the hiatal hernia repair. Not ready to share with EVERYONE just yet!!!
  4. I was told NOT to use muscle milk. I use the protein powder from Target. Yes Target. The 5lb jug is under $20 too. I was just told by my nutritionist that I can add in flavored extract if I wanted to. But an 8 oz shake made with half water and half skim is delicious. And NO aftertaste.
  5. I had my surgery 3 days ago also. I'm doing good. I am sore but not too bad. I'm getting progressively better as the clock ticks. I can feel a improvement from this morning. Walking makes me feel good!! I get tired fast but baby steps and I'll get there. I haven't been hungry!! Well, I did feel a little hungry when I woke up this morning. It went right away. My husband cooked chicken wings last night that made the house smell sooooo good!!! But it was awesome to not be "hungry" to want them So it makes me realize that this would have been one of the times I ate when I didn't need too. I've stuck with my protein shakes. Though, today I did mix it half water and half skim milk and it was so much easier to sip down. I don't care for the protein drinks I got from the hospital. They say they're like a Gatorade. But I'm just not a big fan. I'm going to my in-laws for Christmas dinner and I'm going prepared. I'm going to have a protein shake, have low sodium broth for dinner, diluted apple juice to toast the holidays and SF jello for dessert. I'm set!!! And I'm excited that I will be able to make this work. Good luck with your surgery tomorrow. Don't let anyone get you nervous. There are so many success stories!!! Let your be the next one added on to that list! Merry Christmas!!!
  6. I hope it turns out to be nothing but where you were given injections. Keep us posted.
  7. Good luck tomorrow! I'm having mine tomorrow also but I don't ave to be at the hospital until noon. I'm going to try to stay up late so I sleep late. No coffee tomorrow is going to be tough. I'm going to need it to keep me calm. I'm so nervous and excited all at the same time. There are a couple of us on here that are having our surgeries tomorrow. Yay us!!!
  8. My surgery is tomorrow too. My pre-op diet has been 2-3 shakes a day and 1 salad. I took my magnesium citrate disgusting drink around 6:00 and so far.........nothing. Just heartburn from the lemon flavor and burning on my tongue from the drink. Ugh...... How are you feeling now????
  9. Thank you everyone. My surgery is being covered by insurance. But that's only because I'm having the band. I don't believe the plication is covered alone.
  10. Good luck to you on Wednesday. I'm having my band and plication on Wed too in NY. I'm feeling very similar to you. But we are here now and we are doing this!!!! Together! :-)
  11. I am sooooo excited that this is going to actually happen!!!! Whoop whoop!!
