  1. Is killing me right now. I ate so many carbs/starches before this surgery. I keep wanting a sandwich or mac and cheese lol. I quit watching the food channel after my nutritionist told me it was food porn and will only frustrate me further. Its just frustrating when your sick of the options that you have. I am glad I got this surgery but its the mental part I wish that wld change as well.
  2. Bariatric advantage has calcium citrate chews. I bought chocolate and caramel. Wayyy better then anything in a store!
  3. So im almost three weeks out, and I feel nausea all the time but I don't throw up. Nearly everything I eat makes me feel sick and I know I havent been getting in enough. I havent been getting sick from soft foods when I ate this but now I really dont have the appetite for the limited options. The protein shake I love just about makes me gag. I wont lie I was not good at getting vitamins/omeprazole in this week and that could be the problem. Any help is welcome.
  4. Thank you so much everyone!!!!
  5. So I had my surgery 2/13. I lost 18 pounds pre-op and so far 19 post op!! I have been lucky to have no nausea and just try to get all water/protein in each day. I am hopeful to live the rest of my 20's saying "im skinny"!
  6. I hear ya! I had to do a two week liquid diet preop that consisted of 5 8oz shakes and a nasty fiber drink.. Then post op im still on liquids and its been hard focusing on the positive. But honestly I was on a full liquid diet 3 days after surgery. Ive had sf jello regular broth, sf applesauce, they even gave me sf jello at the hospital.... Not to tell u your doc is wrong but I dnt think its gonna hurt you
  7. This topic came at a good time. Ive been crying and really annoyed with my husband. Im so sick of this full liquid diet and over these protein shakes... I get extremely agitated reading that some ppl didnt have to do a preop diet... I mean J dont regret doing mine because I lost 18 pds but I feel id be better at this diet post op because I wldnt be so sick of the same foods.. Extremely moody and sorry to vent
  8. I have a tight feeling too when I consume anything... I cant really tell if im full because of all the weird stomache gargling/tightness (which happens sometimes even when I havent consumed anything) but other then that I feel great and even slept on my side the last two nights with help from a body pillow
  9. This is why I love this forum! I realize over and over I'm truly not alone..Thank you for your responses
  10. So when I got home I was having gas problems but that has subsided. Now when I drink the smallet amount of liquid or my cream soups/oatmeal (as approved by doctor) I feel this tightening. It goes away shortly but its really uncomftorable. I have been sipping and I know that I am not putting too much on my spoon as I have been following dime size bites. Did anyone experience this as well? Other then that my energy is getting better every day! I can't wait to get my staples removed and move to the next phases of my diet!
  11. Sorry if this is TMI.. but what I would give to burp and... ___ . I have been having gas pian since I woke up from the surgery. They had given me different medicine in the hospital for it but if I wasn't falling asleep then the pain really didn't go away. I'm at home and have been taking Gas x strips. But I'm discouraged because due to the pain I can't tell if Im' full from eating. Granted I havent been able to take much in but I dont think Im getting enough. Today is day 4 and i'm at home... so I can try to stick to the regimen in place. If anyone has been through this some encouragement is all I really need right now.
  12. Glad to hear you are doing well! I am home now... With gas pains only.. Been taking gas x. Getting in as much fluids as I can even though im not thirsty or hungry one bit.
  13. Thank you! I am really excited and looking forward to having what I consider a clean slate.
  14. Only 24 more hours and I will be in surgery for my new sleeve! I wish the best for all my fellow February 13th sleevers!! :biggrin5:
  15. Im so glad to hear all the positive feedback!!! Especially, since I daydreamed of a cheeseburger quite intensely at my lunch break; and then had to go back to sipping on my pre op protein shake hahaha

  18. Thank you so much! I just bought them from bariatric advantage.... excited to get rid of these other wafers
  19. So I started taking my vitamins as necessary with my liquid diet. I was told I needed to get calcium citrate and it had to say calcium citrate on the label. So I found these calcium citrate chewables they recommended and they are HORRIBLE! I seriously have tried them for 2 days now and I gag each time lol it looks rather pathetic. Does anyone have any advice for a calcium citrate option that will suffice for now and after the surgery.
  20. Okay day one almost done.....wld be easier if there was a way to stop food commercials from airing.
  21. Wow Only 5 more days! I start my liquid diet today. I'm glad that you were able to get in the swing of things! It gives me hope... I'm not looking forward to mine but then again I do like structure and I won't have to think about what my next meal will be lol.
  22. LOL the big countdown to our Valentines Day surgery!
