  1. I am over 7 months out and only about 3 lbs. from my doctor's goal for me. he said I could now increase my intake 1o 1,000-1,100 per day, but I still cannot get in over 900 and most days can't even get in 800! I concentreate more on carbs than calories since I know I will not be going over my calories.
  2. Although i am just a little over 7 months out, I still drink at least one rtd protein shake a day with at least 23g of protein. I could never stand the powdered ones, so didn't even try. At first I liked the Premier ones from Costco, but had to buy too many at a time so got burnt out! Then tried Muscle Milk Light flavors, but tasted way to sweet for me. After that tried chocolate Pure Protein, which I still like. Yesterday I went to Vitamnin Shoppe to get some Oh Yeah Bars (to die for!) and I noticed they had some Oh yeah RTD drinks. I bought a couple of flavors just to try. I just had the Cookie and Cream. OMG it is good and has 32g of protein and only 3g of carbs and only 3 g of sugar. I do not keep track of my calories, because even at this stage, I know I am not even getting 900 in, but I do watch my carbs. BTY the Oh Yeah peanut Butter and caramel protein bars are definitely the best I have ever tasted and only 13.99 a box of 12 at Vitamin Shoppe!
  3. Won ton wrappers are not high in carbs, compared to bread and Pasta which they replace iin these cupcakes. Bread and pasta fill you up too much anyway since they swell. The package I have says about 3 g per won ton. You can make the won ton cupcakes with just one, you don't need to use two. You need to have some carbs, but have these instead of having bread or pasta. Compare them to a slice of bread, which I don't even want anymore. Don't even remember when i had bread last. These are the perfect low carb thing to replace that and still not making you overstuffed. derpending on how you plan your meals you will be fine. I still stay less than 25g of carbs per day even when eating these.
  4. It is definitely gas from the procedure. Walk as much as possible and take some tylenol (no ibrufprofen or nsaids). Believe it or not, it will go away soon! But it does hurt, doesn't it?
  5. I have made pizza with this too and just used 1/4 of the rectangle piece. lasts forever it seems!
  6. What an amazing difference! You look great and probably feel just as great! Congrats on your success so far!
  7. I like the Melissa's brand better then the Dynasty. YUM! Love these won ton cupcakes. Had cheeseburger ones last week for lunch, and started on the patty melt ones Saturday and Sunday, and finishing up lasagna ones today!! This girl doesn't need or want bread anymore!
  8. I am over 7 months out, but I was allowed to have ground beef at 10 weeks. i prefer ground beef to ground turkey so i don't use ground turkey at all. Also made some patty Melt ones too. YUM!
  9. I have not had a headache since my surgery last December!
  10. You look great! Happy surgiversary and thanks for being such an inspiration to all of us on this site. Congrats!
  11. Great weight loss for 4 months! YAY! Keep it up!
  12. Attention patty melt lovers! As I am one! I made patty melt won tons this morning. Browned 1/2 lb. ground beef, onions, then mixed mustard into that and about a tablespoon of caraway seed, the stirrred in shredded cheese.. Did the double won ton thing like the lasagna! they taste just like patty melts! Who needs bread since their sleeve? NOT ME! LOL!
  13. Try this with won ton wrappers: Spray lightly with canola spray (lightly) and then put a mixture of Splenda and cinnamon and use a strainer and drop on top. Bake at 350 for 6-8 minutes!
  14. I made some of the lasagna cupcakes and the cheeseburger cupcakes from emilybites.com. For the cheesburger one with the pickle on top, i used just one won ton wrapper instead of two, and it turned out fine. These are so good and filling and really save you from bread, pasta, and lots of carbs! Tastes just like the real thing!
  15. Wow I keep hearing this tuna and cottage cheese thing and I always forget to try it. Put it on my calendar for tomorrow's lunch!
  16. They are in the refrhigerated section by the tofu at my stores. Themost ommon brand is Dynasty. They will take the place of bread which ou will need to stay away from or awhile because it can expand and knot up in your new tummy.
  17. I honestly don't know how they could tell if you have cheated on your pre-op. The purpose of the pre-op is to decrease the size of your liver so it will be smaller so the surgery is easier for the doctor. Unless they took a before and after xray and compared the size of the liver, how would they know? That makes no sence to me!
  18. The best tasting turkey sausage links ar Jimmy Dean in the red box. Target has them.
  19. Hey Tekara, You have been strong through this and it sounds like you have a great attitude. That is half the battle right there. Hopefully the support and prayers from his forum have helped you with that! You know we all are here for you and are praying your oncology appt. shows no cancer.m You are so fortunate to discover this now. I pray this week for you and your daughter. Please keep us posted.
  20. When I want bread, I use the Orowet sandwich thins in the multi-grain, but I hardly ever want it anymore and usually make me sandwich on a WASA crispbread cracker instead.
  21. There's a pic posted in the post above dated July 31, 2011. All you do is cut a slice into four strips and then subcut each strip into 4 squares. Click on the pic and watch the YouTube.
  22. You should be eating something every 2-3 hours.
  23. See list I have posted above. It may give you some different ideas.
