Oh darn, I was looking forward to some good stuff..... LOL
  2. Ask them how they want you to eat. Sometimes there are different stages. Ask about what size bougie they use for measurement of the stomach. Talk about your anxiety with the surgeon. You got this! Let us know how it goes.....
  3. We are all very excited for you.....and envious as well. Wow, 171 lbs in 7 months......700 calories right now doesn't seem like quite enough for you since you also work out. Keep trying to get some of those protein in.

Now you've got me curious. Was it a man's issue? If so, we would all like to know.....LOL
  5. We've all been though the blah's...... It will pass, hang in there and take a walk if possible. Watch some TV and keep yourself as busy as possible. Before you know it, you will be having to buy new cloths to go on that beautiful body of yours that will be much healthier too.
  6. The last few days have been very stressful for you. It will get better. The good news is, they found what ever's going on with you early and it can be treated if need be. You will do fine. Hang in there and relax if possible.
  7. This can be very worrisome for you. But it's better to take care of the biopsy when your having your bariatric surgery. I wish they would of taken my gallbladder out with this surgery, but they didn't. Keep us posted as to how your doing. "HUGS"
  8. Wow, this is totally awesome! This is a fabulous transformation.
  9. Hi Sleeveshelly. When was your surgery and how much have you lost? I like that you were able to have cottage cheese while he was having prime rib..... I was in the early phases and was only able to have liquids and I went to a restaurant with my family and was so looking forward to a vegetable beef soup from this restaurant. Got there and they didn't make it for that day. I ended up having just au jus. I was so disappointed and had to watch my family eat their meals......
  10. I was very appalled when I went into Lane Bryant and all the pictures of women were of normal size women. I asked the cashier why they would use regular size models and that this was misleading. Of course she didn't have anything to say. I really didn't expect an answer either.
  11. I am getting spasms in my calves and someone recommended drinking gatorade or powerade for the electrolytes. Today I'm going to start drinking gatorade to help alleviate them.
  12. The media greatly contributes to the many issues with obesity in our society. C.A. is no where near being over weight. I'm with you!
  13. You are only done if you want to be done. this is where it takes a while to lose the remaining lbs. You have done great. When I got to my 6 month period, I was closer to goal and my loss slowed down to a snails pace. Now I'm really close to goal by a few lbs and I am still losing some here and there. I just stay focused on what I need to do. Eat healthy and exercise sure helps a lot. You can do this and you will, just stay focused and try not to give up.
  14. So here's a reality check......You "only lost 15lbs." Your clothes are falling off...... What is the truth here? I believe it's time for you to throw your scale away, or hide it. You are obsessing over a stupid scale and the numbers on it. You have lost so much weight that your clothes are falling off! That to me is success......An NSV as we call it...... I'd rather have my clothes fall off than worry about the numbers. You are doing great....... The #'s on the scale will go down and you are going to be so pleased with yourself. Yes, you are depressed and it would be highly beneficial to see your doctor and perhaps he can prescribe something to help you with the depression. Not a big deal..... Hang in there and rant away when ever you need to. We are here to help you.
  15. It might be a good idea to call your doctor. This doesn't sound right to me. It wouldn't hurt. At 3 weeks out, I had no abdominal pain except in my left incision site periodically.
  16. I agree you should call your doctor..... I know that I get dizzy from being dehydrated. Let us know what the dizziness is from....
  17. Thank you Meliss000, I will get some gatorade today....... It is really uncomfortable...
  18. I have spasms in my calves at night time. I am getting 64oz of water in daily. I can actually see the muscles in my calf spasm. I don't know what's causing them or how I can prevent them from occurring again. Any ideas would be wellcome.
  19. What about having a soup?
  20. That is an awesome reality check on your weight loss! Yep, you are doing really good!
  21. I'd take a small cooler and put some protein shakes (RTD), yogurt, sf pudding, sf jello. Hope things go good tomorrow.
