  1. Hummm, I have never heard of a pain ball. Can you share what it is? Thanks
  2. This is really common.....We pretty much avoid looking in mirrors at our bodies because we are discussed with ourselves. The grass is always greener on the other side of the fence too. But in reality, it's totally not greener. Our bodies are very unique and will lose weight at different portions and then redistribute the weight as time goes by. You are a beautiful person and it's time to see your body in a different light......
  3. You got to be awake when they did it? I just had mine and they put me in a twilight sleep. It was easy. I only got to see the pics afterwards. One of the nurses told me to breath through my nose during the procedure and next thing I knew, I was gone. It was a piece of cake too......I had a spot in my stomach that was raised and they did a biopsy. Won't know the results for 7 days.
  4. The truth be known, u have changed and there's nothing wrong with that.....u need to get out and enjoy life or U will regret it. Ur boyfriend needs to put on his big boy pants and shake off his anxiety an go out and have fun with u. This is a perfect time to go get some counseling.
  5. You really should track your food on my fitness pal. You'd be surprised on how quickly the calories add up. And I also agree with previous posters about chating with your surgeon and nut. Let us know what's going on.
  6. Girl you are really ROCKIN that sleeve! Keep it up.....
  7. I wasn't able to eat soft foods until around 6 weeks out. I was eating pureed foods at this time an it was really helpful. I did eat a lot of yogurt and sf pudding and jello. My stomach really liked those. Hope you get better but becareful with what you eat. You don't want to get a leak.
  8. This is typically what happens. We get in a stall so that the inches can come off to catch up with the lost lbs......Don't worry, you will be losing lbs again really soon. You are so not done.........Be patient and enjoy the ride. Change old eating habits and recognize ways you might sabotage yourself later on.
  9. I have a size 32 boughie and it is just perfect. Just had an endoscopy done this past monday and my stomach looks perfect. Just like an Italian sausage LOL. I do wish that my boughie could have been a 28 or 30 though. I really want restriction so I can't eat too much......
  10. That was a really quick stay. I was in the hospital for 2 nights and was very thankful for my Morphine drip.... Actually this is time to be focusing on your water intake so you don't get dehydrated. Protein can wait. I too had thoughts of "what did I do to myself?" but quickly reframed to "I want to be thin and healthy and enjoy my life...
  11. JeanMR1: a bougie is the guide they use when removing the stomach. I had to call my surgeon's office and ask them. They told me my bougie was a 32........Maybe you can check with your surgeon and ask what size they used.....Let us know if you can. Thanks
  12. keep up the good work! You look beautiful....
  13. You guys so rock! What kind of foods do you eat? If you don't mind me asking. I so miss the tickers we use to have until they were deleted on our sites.........
  14. What size bougie did your surgeon use? It's great that your getting your water in too! Good job! you are so lucky.
  15. I looked at your profile page and you have started out at a higher BMI. So it might take a little longer to be absolutely apparent....But it will happen. All of a sudden you are going to be standing there and if you don't have a belt on, your pants will just fall off.....You will be losing inches really soon and none of your cloths are going to fit. This is called and NSV! Yet, you better get that pocket book ready! It will happen...... CONGRATS on losing 89 lb that is nothing to sneeze at! Heck, that's a lot more than I have lost totally.....So proud of you.....
  16. So sorry to rain on your parade! This is an accomplishment and we are going to celebrate! Can you see me dancing? LOL I have followed your posts through out the past year and you have done powerful job at shedding those lbs! Keep it up! I look forward to reading more of your posts really soon! HUGS!
  17. Yayyyyyyyyyyyy! Party time! Cheers to you! Congrats!
  18. It is scary to read this. Our sleeve is just a tool and if we choose to go back to our old eating habits, we will gain our weight back. So I am really going to work hard at not slipping back into old patterns....
  19. That's really good! Congrats!
  20. This is such an emotional journey......You and your family have been through a lot and your children are totally awesome. your son will be a great catch for some lucky lady....Sending healing energy your way. You probably don't want to know what happened in the OR. It could be more damaging than good....
  21. You rock girl! Keep it up! You look fabulous and sexy!
  22. Yayyyyyyy! So happy you will be joining the BIG LOSER'S CLUB! CONGRATS!
  23. Hormonal fluctuations are so frustrating.... Your anxiety and depression are related to thoughts that your having that trigger fear in you. So catch the negative thoughts and then challenge them to change them..... You can do this!
  24. Each day will get better. Are you walking? If not, this is the time to walk. Oh and use your morphine as much as possible that helps. Also try sleeping in an upright position.
  25. CONGRATS! You've got this! Good job.......
