Hungry Days?
I have an addiction for sugar and diet coke or diet pepsi. I know that when ever I go back to eating something with sugar, I keep craving more of it. I believe that I began this journey to make changes in my diet. I'm working on choosing organic foods with no more than 5 other ingredients in them. I know that I have tried doing moderation and I still try to sneak something in now and then to find out that I start craving more of it. So my demon (sugar) is torturous to me. I have tried many diets and my negative self talk can talk me into anything. I am my worst enemy and have gained back numerous times.

Hungry Days?
I believe Benjamin on that aspect also. My grandfather always ate fat and he was so darn skinny! He barely ate sweets.

Hungry Days?
As long as your sticking with protein first, veggies and then maybe a little starches, you will do just fine. In fact I love what Benjamin said. I have the tendency to eat when I have some head hunger and I'm working on that. I'm increasing my exercise right now and I know I need more than 900 calories to replenish my energy. I have been eating 1200 to 1500 calories and am building muscle right now. I am at goal and really need to just tone up now. So I have to watch my thoughts that tell me "I can have this because I'm at goal," and rekindling those old negative eating habits. I have to watch my sugars because they are so addicting for me. So I try to avoid sugars. Keep up the hard work everyone.

Help! Complications Could Cause Me To Have Bypass!
When I had dehydration, my stomach was swelled also. This is a good time to go get an IV for hydration and see how that affects your stomach. Just food for thought, I am not a medical doc.

Help! Complications Could Cause Me To Have Bypass!
We all have opinions here, but the only one that matters is your doc's and yours. Talk with you doc about doing a dilation first and see if it clears up and then go from there. What does your body tell you? Listen to your inner wisdom and see what comes up. That may help some. Best wishes.....

Gonna Get To Goal. Wanna Join Me?
Coops: I believe that sugars are a big down fall for me. It doesn't take much for me to add a few ozs when I do have something with sugar in there. but true. I really can't get too much in my stomach anyways, thank goodness. You look "HOT" and that is the biggest bonus out of all of this so far. The extra lbs will drop when you least expect it. I'm just going to work on eating healthy, no added sugars and eating small portions and just enjoy my body as it is today. I do have a "tire" in my midsection that the only way it's going to leave me is by a tt. LOL I just want to settle.

I Cannot Get Myself To Drink Protien Anymore, Is This Harmful... 6 Weeks Out
A problem with not getting your protein in is muscle loss and hair loss. Your body will start to metabolize muscle for fuel when glycogen is used up. Your cells will not replenish themselves and would most likely resort in malnutrition. I am 11 months out and still drink 1 protein drink a day. I love the Premier from Costco or Sam's club. It tastes like a milk shake and has very little carbs.

Gonna Get To Goal. Wanna Join Me?
I am really tired of the way my scale bounces up and then down. I never know what my weight is. I work hard at not eating sugars but do occasionally. And I don't like myself when I do things like that. My problem is, I can't get past 146 lbs. Then the next day I'm back up to 168 lbs. Seldom do I go back down to 146 lbs. Meg: you have done a great job bouncing the excess lbs off. CONGRATS! Such a great feeling. Feedyoureye: You have done fantastic, I like how you get back on track when you need too! CONGRATS! It's just being aware of where we are and what we need to do to get back on track. Coops: Miss you I know that you will get your weight off really soon. everyone of us are awesome!

Social Anxiety After Weight Loss
This is so true. You have made so many changes already and have done great. I love that your challenging yourself to socialize more with others. Sometimes I can feel rather reserved but other times I am totally amazed at myself when I just get out of my head and start talking to others without worrying about saying something stupid. If I say something stupid, I just laugh and make a joke of it. I love to use humor. Just be true to who you are and you will be just fine.

Blood Test
Wow, you have gotten this far. That's fantastic. I love when I have orders to do blood workup because I get to see where all my blood values are. The blood work I had before surgery I was low on vitamin D so they prescribed me a super high Vitamin D cap with 50,000 IU. My A1C was a bit high, but not high enough to stop the surgery from happening. CONGRATs on getting this far.

Moderation
I only told my sister in-law at first. She was really receptive and wants her daughter to also have the surgery due to her diabetes. My nephew asked what I was doing to lose weight and I told him. Then I told my brother in law and he told me that he would have prayed for me. Haven't had a relationship with him since an probably never will. I am good with that. Everyone else have been really great. My FIL and MIL were up there in their mid 90's and I didn't want to worry them. They have recently passed away. Anyway, I only want people in my life that are loving and accepting of me and are a joy to have around.

Trouble With Protein
Protein is not a big concern right now, getting your fluids in is. I use to drink some of the protein shake, and put the rest in the refrigerator. I gradually increased it.

Curious About Pain?
I had no pain. I used the morphine pump anyways because I just wanted to sleep. It was a little painful getting up and down though but that was because of the incision sites and the cutting of my muscles. I had 6.

Why Am I Not Loosing With My Sleeve?
There is no shame here! We all make grammar errors and spelling. But I refuse to punish myself for making a mistake. I'm human and so are you..... You are doing everything right, but you might try LilMissDiva's "The Basic Bootcamp Diet" to shake things up. I will post it right here for you and it really works. It will get things moving again..... The BASICS BOOTCAMP: For 5 STRICT DAYS I will eat only... Proteins: Seafoods, Poultry and eggs, Dairies, nuts/seeds including Peanut Butter. Veggies: Green only. Fruits: None. Breads/Cereals/Other Carbs: None. Fluids: One gallon of Water (128 oz.) or Protein Drinks. Avoid: Sugar and Sodium Once the 5 days are over, I am pretty much over the Sugar Carb Demon. Don't get me wrong, I don't hate carbs! I do need them to live a healthy life and since I workout a lot it is important I have them. However, I need GOOD carbs. Whole grains, fruits, veggies... But I don't need processed sugars. White carbs, in cereals, breads, rice... etc. Good luck!
