A little over 3 months post-op and I hit my first goal this morning with a total loss of 50 lbs (20 pre-surg, 30 post). It's coming off verrrrrry slowly, but I don't mind any more. This is the most I've ever lost in one go-round and it's so uplifting to know that these pounds will never, ever come back! Ordered a Fitbit this morning as my reward. Now I'm ready to start on the next 50!

Current weight: 224
Size 16W Bottom, M-L Top

I was sleeved on 6/23 and have lost 20 pounds since surgery (34 from highest weight).
For all the "slow losers", are you getting in as much Water as you should? I've noticed that when i get my liquids in, I see a loss more often then when I don't drink enough.
Today I added gym exercise, so I'm hoping for a better number next week cuz I only lost 4lbs this past week and I believe it could have been more.

I'm down another 2 lbs still slow but ill take it over gaining

I was sleeved June 18th. I am down 24 lbs., 13 inches and walking 4 miles a day. Almost all pain gone, and I can sleep in any position I want now. Yea.

Hi. I was sleeved on 6/25 and so far I'm doing well. I just walked 4 miles this morning! Down 30 lbs so far! It would be great to keep this thread alive.... Best wishes to all

Isopure liquid. Bottled in many flavors and 40grams Protein per bottle. Thin like juice or Water. Easy to get down over ice.

Ou see yourself shrinking u feel great more entergetic 2 yrs later u never get use to. Skinny miny . It is strange to still here even though I went from size 22 to a 1. Yep1. Love every minute of it I have I set weight I'll never go over I have gotten use to people watching what u eat to see what I eat I exercise 3 times a week I do kettle bells. It has tone my loose skin up it is 17 inches toned in 7 months so if I have any advice or u just listen do what your doc tell u excercise. Does help so much if u have question and or comments love to hear I'm not sure how to put before and after pic yet but will I am 5 tall started at 238. And now I am less half of me. A whole another me me 120 lbs

You know how they always say that it takes a while for your head to catch up with your body? I just had to laugh at myself today. I bought a dress last week for my first goal size. I have already lost 25 but don't feel like it has made that much difference. So, I took the dress out today to see how tight it is and you guessed it... it fit! Oh well, guess I will HAVE to shop some more.

Thanks for the support. It helps. I just felt really bad because I am that go-to person in my family when some folks are in need. And I always try to be there. Normally, i could just stuff my feelings down with food, but them there days are over! So my emotions are just bubbling to the surface.
Anyhoo, she finally came...after I had to guilt trip her into it. And I hate that cuz I really shouldn't have to do that!
But one thing I know now: I may not have supportive family and friends...and now I don't even have food. BUT, I've got ME! And as the weight comes off, I'm getting stronger mentally AND physically. So it's time to set some boundaries so I can make room for more positive people in my life. Cuz I don't think what I asked was too much to ask of anyone. And I cannot even recall the last time I asked for ANYTHING else!

Do you have anything that has wheels on it--like a suitcase even? You could put the clothes in that and just pull it which should not hurt you.

Has anyone heard that you have to give yourself blood thinner shots??

I've seen a few people on the board mention that they had to do this to prevent blood clots after surgery. I have no idea if it's standard practice for some surgeons or if they only do it if the patient has had an issue with clots in the past.

I'm so excited (surgery Aug but wait listed for sooner) that I cleaned out all my closets and drawers and couple nights ago. I crashed my friends yard sale today and sold a ton of stuff and took the rest to a thrift store. It was so freeing to get rid of stuff. I kept the summer clothes that fit now and 20's, 18's and 16's I've had packed away.
A year ago my life was so dark with a breast cancer diagnosis, a double mastectomy, 6 mons of chemo and then being told I was too obese for reconstruction. Tomorrow I Celebrate 7 years sober then I have surgery coming up and reconstruction on the horizon.
Life is freakin' awesome again!

I can't believe how much the thread has grown. Theres so many of us. So I compiled a list of all of our dates. So, we can keep track of eachother. I will revise it as we get more posters. If you said you have a middle of august date, or hope to be sleeved in august I have not added you yet. Let me know when you have a date and I will add you Welcome to my OCD !! Congrats all, So glad to be taking this journey with you all!!

I am going to join the club. I am set for a August 6th surgery date with Ross McMahon in Seattle, WA (Swedish Hospital). Nervous but excited!
