 Hi Jacqui Welcome to LapBandTalk I know all about BC not paying. I went to Monterrey Mexico and had my band placed by Dr. Sanchez at the cost of 10,850. Depending how much your willing to pay there are quit a few doctors in the Bayarea and in Sacramento. Sassaay lives in Roseville, she used Dr Machado ( I don't know anything about her doctor). I use Dr. Mckeen of San Jose for my fills, I believe his cost to place a band including 1 year of fills is about 20,000. Good luck
  3. Thanks for this thread.. I was 13, over 180 lbs. and a sociological mess. There was this kid, Terry who would tease me constantly every day he had me crying as the whole class was laughing. The teacher wouldn't do anything, neither would my mom. Over the next year I lost 50 lbs. became emotionally better and went into Sequoia High School. Terry went to San Carlos High. I didn't see him for 4 years. Then I was at post graduation party and I saw a guy in a wheel chair, it was Terry. At first I didn't want to approach him but finally did. He told be what had happened, that he was at the Santa Cruz boardwalk riding the sky cars and decided to get out of the car and was hanging on the cable and fell about 30 feet thus paralyzed from the waist down. We talked about all the tormenting and the grief he cause me, he was sincerely sorry and told me how good I looked. He asked If I would consider going out with him. I said "Never in a million years". I never saw Terry again but there was some closure to that part of my life. You can imagine what I was thinking.... I can't wait to see the nude pics!~

This happened just the other day... My Roxanne (6 years old) and I were pulling on the chicken wish bone and I won. She asks "What did you wish for?" I said "Your not sapose to tell otherwise your wish won't come true. But years ago I wished for you and my wish came true" Ya she says "Daddy planted the seed... Did you swallow it?" I thought for a moment and answered "yes"...

Dede I do wish you the best of luck! Chin up and don't give up. One size does not fit all!
  6. Hi Terry Isn't the band wonderful! My band has changed my life and I feel happier each day. You definitely don't look 50!! Smiling right back at you. Your beautiful
  7. Hi Sue I hope your surgery went as "text book" and that you look and feel marvelous that is when your all healed up. I've heard some PS can take a few months to see results but in your case I think your going to see results immediately? I've been thinking about you. Fill us in with all the details when you can.
  8. Sacha I have an AMI Swedish Adjustable Gastric Band which is currently in clinical trials. Mine was placed by Dr. Sanchez in Mexico and he did choose this band for me because "I have more fat around my stomach and internal organs". I'm very happy with my band, at first I was trying to compare bands and they're effects but have concluded It's an individual experience.
  9. Donali You look great! What a difference a cut can do. Love the necklace too. I'm laughing about the low breasts cause the other day I had a party and my girlfriends and I were talking about "How Much does a breast weigh?" and "How low can they go" like torpedoes... Here's the joke An old lady was tiered of living and decided to kill herself and wanted to make sure she'd get a clean shot. So she called her doctor and asked "Where is your heart located?" the doctor said "right below your left breast". The next day she was admitted into emergency for shooting her knee cap.
  10. Oh Happy Day! Congratulations:D
  11. Hey Sue Hope your calm and ready for tomorrow. I wish you the best. My thoughts and prayers are with you.
  12. I'm so Jazzed for you! Congratulations
  13. Thanks, Donali your Absolutly Beautiful. You need to go shopping. Its true, when you have better fitting clothes , you can look thinner. The better half encouraged me to wear other than black. So I bought a pair of beige capris and got 7 compliments and remarkes on how much weight I've lost the first day I wore them. So sorry about your babies
  14. I've been real patient. New pics please, ah come on? How bout one with the Pom:D Your latest 2 on your websight are pretty but we need an up to date pic!

Thanks for all the wonderful compliments, I'm smiling. Oh bathing suits. I've got quite a collection. The bottoms are from a Lands End set I got on E-bay. The top for that set was dirty at the time (very cute with one large stripe over the bust) so I wore it with a tankini I've had for years, I think it was purchased at Mervys. I have a purple set tankini top, boy short bottoms I just love also from E-bay. The trick for me is I buy bathing suits 2 sizes larger. Ebay has great deals if your quick to "buy them now" or wait till the last minute to bid so you don't drive up the price. These suits can run $60.00 at the store, isn't it ridicules the price of clothing! I love E-bay
  16. Congratulations Kathy I believe thats 5/21/04? Glad all went well and your home. Take it easy it's time for healing.
  17. Congratulation Michelle! Great job, Great additude!:banana Dance On

  19. My breath was taken away. Our babies are so dear. Isn't it amazing how fast they move.
  20. I know of Ann Marie Tessie (RN) who told me she Fills and Un-fills her-self and has scarfed a meal or 2 so I believe that it can be done ...If I could ? would I? To be able to fill/unfill yourself is totaly weird, initself(thats a word?) Habbits are hard to "brake"
  21. WOW Alexis Amazing, now that's Insperation . The band we love does work.
  22. Such a good attitude I'm so happy for you, both. Once you start seeing how little food you need,.. can make you think/feel full. Poster girl: Got Protien!! Good job, had chilli tonight 17 and 26 LBS WOW
  23. I read what your saying Alexandra and I apprecieate and respect how open your feelings come out. I sometimes ponder my childhood, but I won't let it take on the way I behave, in relation to how I was raised. I always looked at the big picture. I'm 1 in 14 kids the seconded to youngest,, we all pretty much scraffed for food. Our kids are so precious, I see there lives in my eyes, they're growing so fast!
  24. I was reading Darcy post too and thought of my daughter, Roxanne now 6 1/2. A few monthes ago I posted what do you all do? One kid (Rox) won't touch vegis without cheese or ranch, my 2 year old Hunter won't eat much meat and he's a grazer. So I cook to cater but try to cook nutritiously. There's a saying my friend told me years ago "If thier getting the 5 basic food groups within a week, your doing good" LOL The way I was raised to clean the plate is not inforced and McD's is far and few. I took a look at our life style, and we've increased our activities. Even going to the beach, park and swimming when we can. With motivation like lets clean your room so we can go somewhere or do something (active). I have also made fruits available as snacks and don't keep cookies in the house much. Water is incouraged, I'm glad my girl doesn't even like soda. The fun thing lately is Rox wants to cook and while makeing resipes we talk about foods and whats good for you. The other day shopping she was helping me pick out a tri-tip and I pointed out the "white stuff", thats fat and she commented "its not good for you".
