  1. I had my first drink about 4 months post op. I doesn't effect me differently. I usually have beer. ( I am 2.5 years out now)
  2. I had gained nearly 40 pounds and have been able to re-lose 32 of of it using the 8 hour plan! feeling good
  3. Worrying is very counterproductive, your fears are actually quite irrational.

    2 years!

Part of me wants to go back and not get down so low, I really restricted my calories for a whole year, I should have been more realistic. I can eat A lot more now... I am up 35 pounds now, it was 40. :-/

    2 years!

    Wow congrats!
  7. I am researching the DS. I have gained backed 38lbs. I cannot gain another pound. I am struggling big time. I am gaining weight eating less than 1500 cals a day at this point. Eating 900 cals a day for so long must have ruined my metabolism. My restriction is ok, but I need more help. I am not looking for people to tell me to eat Protein first then veggies. I am looking for people with experience with the DS, or people that know people. Thanks!
  8. You answered your own question! Replace your drinking with working out on the weekends, you'll meet your goal!
  9. if you think I'm the only one struggling with regain you are crazy. Did you look at the vote on the thread on mentioned ? At least 15 people have voted they have gained 20 pounds or more, and dozens more 5-15 pounds Most people that have gained probably dont come to this site anymore either. You can't come here flashing your probably embellished credentials and expect people to respect your responses when you don't have your facts straight.
  10. Angel thanks for the advise and input but I CLEARLY stated am looking for input about people that have had the DS, not advise on how to lose weight. And no offense but you are 7 months post op. thats when i was down to 129. it's easy....so easy at that time. Wait until you're almost 2 years out its a whole different ball game. Look at the weight gained since being sleeved thread that's pinned. There are dozens of us struggling with regain. It's annoying that people less than a year out think they know it all. I'm not trying to be rude but just wait and see how it is in a year, you may look back and realize you we're a little too cocky, just like 3/4 of the people here less than a year out.
  11. I have gained 38 pounds in the past 9 months.... Looking into DS. Almost up to 170lbs, and I was in the 120's last summer !
  12. Exactly! I am betting I will reach 170 in the morning! ugh!!! I have an appointment next week to discuss this, that's why I am trying to learn about peoples experiences!

    Wow are we adults?

If its genetics, why would having a surgery to drastically reduce your intake be needed? You need the built in restriction like all of us, if it wasn't about your choices you wouldn't need the surgery- you would choose to calorie count and lose the weight without it. Just my opinion.

    Haven't "gone" in 6 days

Yep i agree... Milk of mag is a sure thing!
  16. I still don't get why you asked the question. why wouldn't you be happy eating normally and maintaining your goal weight?

  19. I doubt anyone got this procedure so they could eat next to nothing. That's not the point. Are you sleeved yet?
  20. you do realize how ridiculous this question is right?
  21. I love how people that haven't been sleeved think they know what it is like post-op. Fishy, you run your mouth and you never have anything positive to say. You are the Danny-downer to this site. Didn't your parents teach you the golden rule? If you don't have anything nice to say don't say anything at all....

    Stupid Carb Question.

everyone is different. I never have counted mine. I do however eat protein as the main part of my meal. I don't do sugar free for fat free anything either. I do the real deal including full fat cheese and 2% milk. It works for me.
