  1. Thanks everyone for the replies! All very helpful =) I think I do need to increase my water intake and could exercise some more.. I wouldn't say I have a lot of carbs because I'm still just starting to integrate solids. But I'm more testing what I can have, I've had a piece of toast with a scrambled egg, and a the tiniest bit of brown rice with some chicken. I do get full faster but Im sure I can be more strict! Again thank you all for the responses!!!!
  2. Thanks! I should def try measuring!!! I hadn't done that because I was so swollen, but I guess now I can start. I get my first fill on 12-19, hopefully that will help too!
  3. Hi everyone!!! I was banded on 11/18,,, I went from 257 to 246 during my preop liquid diet. Then since one week preop I have been stuck aroun 239/240 for 2 weeks now. I definitely eat much less then before I was banded, and I even started walking this week to work out. Is this normal that my scale is just not moving??
  4. Congrats =) protein shakes, chicken broth and sugar free Popsicles, that's pretty much what I ate!
  5. I went from 240 to 240.4 =( I'm 3 weeks post op and I don't understand how I've been stuck at pretty much the same weight since about 1 week post op. it's so discouraging, I even started to walk for working out this week. I'm getting my first fill on 12/19 and pray I start to lose
  6. Thanks everyone for the input. I'm much better today! I know every doctor and nutritionist is different, but my nutritionist did tell me that I could have a meatball in the mushy stage as long as I mushed it with my fork. Obviously didn't go too well lol today I stuck to protein shakes and a little cottage cheese,, lesson learned!
  7. I start solids Monday, I actually got stuck on Mushies lol I must be special. It was a meatball that I kinda mush with a fork but I just didn't chew a bite well. I'm starting to feel ok now and I think I will stick to liquids tomorrow. Thanks!
  8. Ok, so this is my own fault, I got distracted, took way to big of a bite and didn't chew enough. I felt it immediately and that was about 2 hours ago. The bad pain stopped but I still feel terrible. How long before this tightness in my chest goes away???? Oh and I'm 2 weeks post op

  13. Hi all! I've been reading through different questions and i keep seeing people post about papaya enzyme but I was never told about it. What does it do? Also, I'm also still having probs going to the bathroom. I'm seeing my surgeon on Monday but was just wondering if anyone has taken Philips milk of magnesia or anything like that to help?
  14. I still have a problem figuring it out. It's only been a week but I really need to learn to eat slow! I made really soupy mashed potatoes but ate way to fast. They r obviously not stuck but I'm so full from eating so fast. Hard habit to break I guess
  15. Thanks again everyone,,, =) now I have a new question, or maybe just a statement lol little by little my appetite has been coming back and starting last night it's back with a vengeance! Lol and I'm trying my best to try and fill up with the protein shakes but it seems like if I get full, within like 2 hours in hungry again! Any suggestions??
  16. Thanks everyone!!!
  17. Hi all! I was banded on 11/18/11. This site is soooo helpful so I decided to make an account! Every day I start to feel better and better but I'm still gassy, and still haven't had a bowel movement so it's very uncomfy. I weighed myself today and I'm the exact same weight as the day of my surgery,, is that normal??
