  1. You are going to be ok. The whole process of having the band can be very challenging at times emotionally. I have a couple teenage kids that make it even more crazy. I call my brain a fat brain because I still get upset at times over food. I am working on that still. Dont worry it takes time and lots of patience. Besides if you are anything like me. I've been plus size almost my whole life. Its not a walk in the park to change the emotional feelings behind our food intake. Take it a day at a time. Also start meal planning for the near future when you can have food. I sugguest buying 1 cup portion glass Pyrex bowls it works wonders Hopefully my long drawn out story helps! Crystal
  2. 1yr post op and having upper arm issues too. Just askng my FB family and friends for ideas tonight. Crystal

Be able to shop for clothes in my size anywhere 3. Wear the hell out of a sexy hot swim suit (without a skirt) 4. Go on a Hawaiian vacation and really enjoy life 5. Be able to wear heels comfortably and with hold my head up high 6. To fit into a size that isn't close to my age LOL (almost there) 7. Go workout on a regular basis without dragging to the gym actually enjoying it! 8. Plan time out walking around without getting tried so easily 9. Be able to run 10.Fit into sexy high heeled boots Thanks letting me share Good luck to everyone!!! We are going to knock all the items off our list......
  4. I love your honesty. This is a learning process for sure. We have to retrain our thought process as well. I tell myself all the time I am thinking with my fat brain when I want something I know I can't get down. I then rethink am I hungry or is my mind (fat brain) just thinking I am. Most of the time I can work thru it by hydrating. Sometimes there are moments where I give in and try to get something down I should be trying and pay the price. I think I am finally at my green zone after 7 months. I am very excited. The scale is finally moving after being stuck for 4 mths. The last fill I just rec'd like a week ago now has me retraining myself again. I can't eat the same amount as before or the same things. I make a plate like I use to be able to eat. Then reliaze that's a joke and have to store it away for another time. I have been a little scared to try somethings that I use to be able to eat before my last fill. I hope to get on track and figure things out soon. I want to also work in exercise. I was doing great with this Zumba class and have stopped going. I need to work on my upper arms. They are huge and fat. I don't want to be one of the people that are big on top and small on bottom. Or be the big woman with a little man. LOL My husband also had the surgery and is doing great melting by the second. Keep up your positive thinking we can and will do this. Have a wonderful blessed Sunday! Crystal
  5. I've had the whole sinus and cold thing going on since Thurs. Yesterday was the worst. I took Allergra D 24 hour after cutting it up into 8 pieces and Tylenol. It said not to cut up or crush the Allergra but I was desperate. Still not feeling great today but better then yesterday. Crystal
  6. Well I got a fill on Thurs after waiting since Sept. I am a happy woman! Finally restriction!!! I also was down 6lbs in 4mths. I hope this gets the scale moving. Crystal
  7. I am so excited to hear everything worked out for you. The band really makes us think. I did get .50 put back in. I am going to be on liquids till Saturday. We had to take out .50 in Sept. So let's see how it goes. I am extremely excited the scale at my doctors office moved down 6lbs since my last visit in Nov. I am just glad it didn't go up. I know I have my work cut out for me. Crystal
  8. Add fresh fruit. Blueberries and strawberries are good!
  9. It's those bad apple bosses that can ruin the batch. It sounds like you are a great team player. Keep in the the back of your mind "Never let anyone change who you are". They are dealing with their own demons. The only one who knows our plan for life is the man upstairs. He will guide us every step of the way. I too have faced challenges in the past at work. It some times can be unclear. Things will work out the way they are meant to be. You will look back at this challenge in a couple years and laugh to yourself. Hold strong and pray on it. Whats meant for us will be. Blessing on your day! Crystal
  10. I also had hair loss and thinning. It usually happens 4-6 months post op. I started taking Biotin 5000mcg capsules from Target once a day. It seems to be helping. I try to get in my protein in daily as well by eating fish, greek yogurt with protein packed granola. Crystal
