  2. This is what I am afraid of when I return to work next month! I'm currently in therapy and she asked me what was my fear and I told her right now, having to return to work! She recommended while I'm off read Beck Diet Solution.... She also recommended me to list things I can do to reduce my stress without food...so you could try to do that and do those things...
  3. My doctor told me atleast 18 months....when I told him I stopped my birth control for fear of blood clots (I'm 34, and paranoid) his demeanor changed and I told him as soon as I recover from the procedure I would get back on them ASAP, he was fine again...lol
  4. The only time my family knew exactly how much I weighed was on the day of my surgery...my auntie looked at the scale and a tear came down her face...and I just looked at her and asked her, do you now understand why this is important to me?? I need to save my life, and I was actually bigger than this 3 weeks ago....she was speechless... I told her to tell my cousins to pray that the surgery goes well....when I woke up from surgery I had 25 text messages from friends and family to read...words of inspiration and prayers....I was in alot of pain but while I was reading those text messages I didnt feel any of it... If you believe your family will support you, let them....you will be amazed how good it will feel...you dont have to go through this jounery alone...
  5. Good luck to you....you will do great! It got real for me when the hosptial called to tell me to be there by 5:30am....after that call I had problems sleeping...just nerves, its normal... Continue on your pre-op diet and focus on getting better soon...
  6. At 3 weeks out I would've been afraid to eat pizza....ugh I can feel the crust sticking right now!! But a week ago I had my first craving....I wanted to order a small meat lover pizza and eat all of the toppings off....I could've done it if I wanted to, I was cleared for regular food, I chose not to do it because it would go against what I am working towards, a healthier me.... Bottomline: whats done is done, you cant go back, but dont make a habit of it....your sleeve is still in its baby stage....dont push things along because you "feel" like you can do more....I actually did that too, and I ended up fighting off a virus, long story short, I went to the movies 2 weeks out and got sick.. follow your doctors orders, unless you desire to be a statistic...
  7. Did you try those drinks before you bought them??? If you didnt, I'm so so sorry you didnt try them... Those are some of the nastiest drinks I ever tasted, I still have 2 in my frig that I won't touch...been there for 2 months now...

  20. No, ou should not be worried...I didnt start losing weight until day 14....my first week post op I'd gained...I felt like the bottom dropped out of me I was so upset.....it took my aunt to "slap" some sense into me....and once I talked to her I was ok.....week 2 I stepped on the scale, I lost I think 10 pounds, then week 3 I'd dropping I think another 8.....so including my pre-op loss I'm at 39 pounds down.... I weigh in for week 4 monday..... Dont start worrying about weight now....focus on healing....
