  2. Yes! The pre-op diet is the worst part of the surgery....but just keep thinking about your goals and desires....I kept that present on my mind.... You will get through this....this too shall pass....

I'm 7 weeks out...and I was told at my last dr appt to start trying out more foods, and if it doesnt cause any issues I can eat it..... so I imagine, you can do the same, but contact your drs office to be sure
  4. my therapist recommended that I buy tic tacs and I asked her why and she told me to wait until I was post op and I will see....she was so right!! I have a pack in my purse, in the kitchen, and in my office desk...they help alot!
  5. At 2 weeks I too couldn't get my protein in, but I could drink water....have you contacted your Drs. office??
  6. You are going to go down in bra size and panty size when you lose 100+ pounds (I know, I've lost it twice through crash diets, to gain the weight back) You need to ask yourself what is more important....curves and boobies (Which you can buy garments to enhance) or your health? Its just my opinion....
  7. Pinterest has helped me alot!!
  8. Well yeah, he will remove part of your stomach, but you will not miss it....I dont miss mine! I am just happy and blessed I could have the revision done, and now working my but off trying to continue to do the right things to get and keep this weight off...FOREVER! I just love the word forever now....
  9. COngrats! Life is much better without the lapband....
  10. RELIEF! I had mine for 7 years until it was removed in June....I dont miss cramping in my port area if I bend over too long or acid reflux i developed in year 6... To me, my pain was worst when I had the band put in compared to revision surgery....but it could've been I was so happy to get the band out I wasn't phased by the pain....
  11. Well, I'm not sure, just assuming, could it be bile in your stools?? Do you still have your gallbladder??
  12. Dr. Yu is my Doctor as well, I had my surgery in June...if you live in the Houston area, join my WLS Buddies Meetup Group at Http://www.meetup.com a number of us have Dr. Yu as a doctor...its a small world..
  13. I'll ask my GYN later today, I have an appt with her to talk about it plus my annual....thanks!
  14. I was taking the pill, I took myself off because I was paranoid of getting blood clots from the surgery, but now since I'm past the surgery I want to get back on...but I'm scared of it hindering me from losing weight because I feel that they increase my appetite..
  15. I dont know, maybe its me, I would question any surgoen who is running a "sale" or "special" check with past patients and his success rate... My health is priceless
  16. If you have it done by laprascope, you'll have 5 marks....open, one long scar....with the spider 1 mark....that's a question you can ask your surgoen, he or she knows what his or her work looks like after a while.....
  17. Yeah, make sure you stay on top of that....they probably can appeal it and resubmit your paperwork with the missing info.... good luck! My District has Cigna and put a total exclusion for bariatric surgery for us....
  18. yeah, mine confuses me too sometimes as well..mine gave me a goal of between 800-1000 cal per day, so I set MFP to 800....most days I meet it, some days I dont, some days I go over....on a day I workout, I usually eat something healthy that has more calories, like adding canned pineapple or something as a snack... A stall can happen for a number of reasons, and sometimes you just have to wait it out unfortunately....
  19. You have to teach yourself to keep Water with you at all times....sometimes I can get my 2 Snacks in, sometimes I can't, and I dont beat myself up if I can't fit them in...I make sure I eat 3 times a day....I still dont have the hunger but I can feel when I am empty... And with water, you really have to sip sip sip....
  20. My gosh, let's get over it...if te woman wanted her feelings protected, she should've ate the cake and pet it to herself....but instead she posted it on here....now if she was looking for help she needed to put that in her post, otherwise people will say what they say and caution her to not do it again while she is so early post op, like I did, if you don't like what I said, so what ..we are all adults, get over yourselves and quit defending another adult, she has a keyboard and can fend for herself.... Get over it and move on... Oh, there were no curse words in this posting....
