  2. I wonder if I could just throw my liver in the dryer to shrink it, it works for all my clothes LOL
  3. As far as I know, my Dr is not requiring me to do the dreaded 2 week pre op liquid diet...only instructions I have been given so far is to drink clear liquids the day before surgery...has anyone here decided to do the liquid diet even though you weren't required to? What are the benefits? More importantly, what the heck did you drink for two weeks, and how did you not kill someone? Lol!!
  4. Just got my letter with tests set up, final consult for surgery date is Dec 20th, so looks like I may just end up as a Jan bandster :-/

  11. Ooh! Thanks! Wonder how many individual appts that will be. I wish I could just get it all done in one day! Good think is I recently had a physical and my doctor was excited about the surgery, so that won't be a problem!
  12. I haven't had surgery, but I intend to have coffee for the rest of my life. Otherwise, I will not be a pleasant person!
  13. Lol! Love this! Don't have my port yet, but I will be naming it once I get it!
  14. For me, its been more spread out. Seminar was July 13th...first nutrition appt was made for the next day. So far I've had my 3 nutrition appts, psych eval, physical, and have my sleep study next week. I just heard from my surgeons office on Friday that BCBS of RI approved my surgery. Not sure how many more tests I have until I get a surgery date...so excited just to be approved!
  15. Hi! I'm new here too, just got my insurance approval. Glad to hear your surgery went well!
  16. Hi! I'm new here too, who is your insurance through?
  17. New to the forum, but just figured I would post my wait time for BCBS of Rhode Island. It took about a month to hear back from them once my paperwork was submitted, but this past Friday, I got a call from the sleep study center my surgeons office uses. Apparently the surgeons office sent over the referral for my sleep study. After a call to the surgeon, they did confirm that I had been approved and would be getting my official letter with remaining requirements....YAY! I wonder how many more hoops I have to jump through!
  18. Hi everyone! So happy to be joining the forums, and begin my journey!
