  1. Congrats to Pammie & Susanne. Many more years to you.
  2. Hey All. Sitting here watching the grammy's. Not for the awards but for the music. I had a somewhat busy day. I thought I was going to just sew all day but I got a call from my niece and she was crying. She's in a lot of pain with her back. She has this chiropracter that has given her pain meds and muscle relaxer but hasn't done anything about fixing the problem. We are trying to get her to a regular Doc and get the ball rolling. Anyway, she had her niece over for the weekend because her mom just got out of the hospital. So I told her I would come over and get Abagail so that she can get some rest and relax her muscles. So Abagail and I spent about 3 hours together. We went to the grocery store and then to the park for awhile. Brought her back here to the house and her and doggie played for awhile. I than took her over to her grandparents and we got her to lay down for a nap. Abagail's mom is the one that has the "Valley Spring Fever" and it reared it's ugly head last week. They give her antibiotics and drain the fluid around her heart and than send her home to rest. Being busy with her kept me away from the kitchen and food, so I had another good eating day. BIL cooked some pork steaks on the grill for dinner. Yummy. I had about a half of one. Judy, Hugs and pryaers to you and your family. I am thankful for my Family (even if they drive my bats). I' thankful for the dance last night with my hubby. And for spending time at the park with the Abbster.
  3. Morning Girls. Jane......You know my issues with my hairdresser. MONEY, MONEY..at $40 a cut, I just can't afford to go as often as I should. I get there about every four months. I adore her like crazy, she is so wonderful and we have a great time, it's just the money. Terri......Prayer is very powerful with me and I use it every chance I get. Not to win the lottery but for the interventions that people need. I know for sure that when I had my surgery and my "C" scare, it was the power of prayers from all my family and friends that got me thru. Today will be a hard food day for me. I'm home all day and that makes it hard. Although I have gotten rid of all the bad food around here. So that will help. It's just being home and so close to the kitchen that is hard. I started a new sewing project so hopefully that will keep me occupied. Everyone have a great day.
  4. Sure wish I could keep my hands out of the pretzel jar.
  5. Stopping in to check to see if there was any news from Kat. Went to the CPR class this morning and they had all kinds of donuts and bagels. I had 1/2 of a bagel. The bottom part. I wanted the top with all the good stuff on it but resisted. Came home and fixed a salad and than went out and back with the kitties. We walked around the pool a couple of times and than sat in the sun. It is so beautiful out today. Hubby even took the Harley out for a little ride. We have a birthday party to go to tonight for our Uncle. He is turning 80. I'm realy going to have to watch myself aith all the food. Have a great day and make good choices.
  6. Morning Folks. I'm up early because I have to go to CPR recert class. At my last job I was a "First Responder" and was certified. Now my boss wants all of us to get recertified so that people coming in will feel more comfortable. I had a wonderful eating day yesterday than late last night I don't know what got into me. I ended up eating 3 handfulls of mini cookies. Crap. I hate that I do that to myself. So today I'm going to do my best again. I need to get that ticker moving again. Besides I have a concert coming up in Marcha nd I promised myself that I will have lost 20 pounds by than. I would like to get as close to that as I can. We have had some really beautiful weather but the winds have been horrible. It's been nice enough so that everyone is out walking. I love it. Everyone have a great day. Hugs.
  7. Kat, I'm getting ready to head to bed and will say an extra prayer. Please don't wear yourself out. Take care.
  8. That's funny, You guys sound like your pregnant or something!!!!!!!!!
  9. Hey Everyone. Kat, I hope by now you realize that it was an accident. You are not to blame for any of it. I am keeping all of you in my thoughts and prayers. Yesterday was my Psych appointment and it went real short. He apologized and said that he was in a rush and was sorry that he couldn't spend more time with me. I felt sad when I left because there were a few things that I was wanting to discuss with him. Anyway, he was very happy with my notes that I kept and how I had logged all of my food. He now wants me to plan out each day what I am going to have for each meal and put it in one color and if I change any of it I'm to use another color to show what I had changed for my meal. (I wonder what color he wants for chocolate indulgences that sneak up on me?). He wants me to continue reading the books that I got from the library. He also thinks that I drink way to much water. So I have a call into my kidney Doc to find out how much water I should be drinking and how much protein she wants me to get. I told him that she wants me to watch my intake but he wants to know how much. I go back and see him in 2 weeks and see how things have progressed. In the mean time I see my fill Doc in ten days and I am so ready for a fill. I haven't had one in about 4 months. I'd try to get in earlier but I'll wait it out. My nephew and his wife lived in Tuscon for about 8 months and while she was there she managed to get Spring Mountain Fever, I think that is what it is called. It's a fungus that you can only get in the South there. Anyway she was treated for it and released. That was about 2 years ago. She is now back in the hospital and they are saying that she has had a relapse of it. I called a little while ago and they still don't have a report back yet. I'm waitng to hear to see if I have to go pick Abagail up. I may have to keep her for the weekend. I ran to Hobby Lobby yesterday I wanted to get some linen to sew on. Trying to keep my hands busy. Last night at our monthly Women's Ministry meeting was our Game night. We had a potato bar and one other Lady and I split a potato. After our meeting we had game night and played Bunko for about an hour. We had all brought a White Elephant and the bags were numbered, after the games we all drew a number and I picked out number 20. I sat and watched almost all of them open gifts of either boxes of chocolates, jars of chocolates or bags of chocolates. I was really fretting opening mine. I finally opened mine and got a really nice over-night case with a bunch of Bath and Body Works lotions and soaps. I was really excited, No chocolate. Hope all is well with everyone.
  10. Kat, Last night on our shift at the hospital, Hubby and I were sent to ICU several times to take an isolation cart and other things needed. We were there when they brought the person in. I'm not positive but the look of it looked like he also had MRSA. I will say an extra special prayer for her tonight and I will keep all of you in my prayers. Keep your chin up and think good thoughts.
  11. Laura, I know it's a little early but I don't know when I'll be on tomorrow, so here goes. Happy Birthday to You, Happy Birthday to You. Happy Birthday Dear Laura. Happy Birthday to You.
  12. TracyinKS, did you ever get a chance to take a picture of that thing I sent you?????? I think the group would get a kick out of it.
  13. Hello, It's me Suzanne. We just got home from our shift at the hospital. We were super duper busy. A lot of Flu and nazaly stuff going around here. On top of that, there is just a lot of crap going on in the family. I guess I shouldn't say crap. Just a lot of stuff going on. Having problems with older sis and her kids. Younger sis is sick. A neice in the hospital, Hubby having his 6 month blood work up done. And than I have to go to the Shrink tomorrow and tell him about my life and wonder why I find it so hard to lose weight. It's just all the little stuff that makes things a little harder to keep my life on track. I'll figure out the road I need to be on and make it as smoothly as I can. Over the weekend I had the worst bathroom problems again. I'm thinking that maybe I better go see the Doc and see if something else is going on. I have my next fill in two weeks and am so looking forward to it. I need one this time. The last two times I didn't get one. I have a long day ahead of me tomorrow. I'll let you know what the Shrink had to say when I get a chance. Thinking of all of you.
  14. Kat, I am so sorry for all that you and your family are going thru. I bet the stress is off the chart. Hang in there and know that we all have you in our thoughts and prayers.
  15. Good Morning, I hope everyone had a great Super Bowl Day. We had a fish and shrimp fry. Ummm good. Today will be a good eating day for me. That's one of the reasons why I like working. It keeps me busy and away from the kitchen. I do however have a dinner date with a friend tonight at Fazoli's. I'll just order a kids size meal and no bread sticks. (Yeah right.). I'll try my best. Everyone have a great day and Ill check in later.
  16. Good Morning, Throat is a lot better today. It wasn't till I tried eating a banana that the glob started to move. It still wasn't till around 3pm before it felt like it was dissolving. Yes, a lesson learned. I would tell you all what TracyKS's surprise was but I think it would be better to see a pic of it. i didn't think to take a pic before I sent it. You'll think it's cute. Kat, I got the one weeks pay for every year I worked. Hopefully he has a position that will make him available to stay on. I would like to tell you not to get so stressed out about it but it is a very stressful situation. I will be keeping my fingers crossed that it all works out great for you guys. I know Laura was going to Tunica this weekend, did she tell us Bye?? Judy, take your suit just in case. You may get there a decide to go in. Have a great time. I'm off to go to Curves. Have a great day.
  17. Heather, so glad that your hubby took you there. I agree with what you said about having the band and not realizing how much we depend on it till it's unfilled. You should do good, seems like you got a pretty good head for what's ahead of you. Hang in there and when the hungries hit just come here and we will help you out.
  18. Oh, and the movie we saw was "Inkheart". It starred Brandon Frasier. We are huge fans of his. Anyway, wait till it comes out on DVD. It was entertaining but not in a "Mummy" way, but it was good. I would just wait till it came out on video.
  19. I'm sticking with the hot cooa for the time being. I seriously thought last night about sticking my finger down there to see if I could get it back up. But right now it's sitting right on my band and I'm not going thru all that. It's got to dissolve here soon. And Haydee, your sugeestion made me luagh. Yeah, like I have cookies here......cookies don't last here. My tummy is growling like crazy but untill this is dissolved I'm not trying any food. Tracy, is it the package I sent you? I just only mailed that Tuesday afternoon. Boy that was fast.
  20. Ok Girls, I need your Help. Last night right before I went to bed I took a handleful of pills. Now don't panic. They were stool softners, the gel kind. Anyway they must have gelled together because I woke up around midnight and sure enough they did not go down. They were stuck in my throat. I walked around a little and drank some warm water than I went back to bed. I woke up around 4:30am and decided to try some very hot cocoa to see if they would disolve. Well that only manage to move the mass down to my band and that is where they have been for 4 hours. I went back to sleep for about another hour and a half. I got up and drank another cup of hot cocoa. I just got back form the Y where I walked on the tredmill. Now I'm trying another cup of hot cocoa. I am getting liquids down. Not very easily though. I haven't tried to eat anything because I'm afraid that it might get stuck. So, what else can I try to get this mass disolved? Any Idea????? It doesn't hurt, just very uncomfortable.
  21. It's so weird to hear everybody's stories of their fills. I have never had a problem with any of mine except one. 6 months after my surgery I broke my collarbone and when I went in for a fill he wanted it done under floro so that I didn't have to strain to pull myself up after the fill. Other than that he has me lift my head a little to tighten the stomach muscles and than he feels around for the port. When he finds it he sticks the needle in and gives me the fill and back out again. The worst part about it is if I forget to take the band-aid off when I get home, than I have a rash for about 4 days. Allergic to the adhesive. The whole time I'm in the office is approx: 10 minutes. Thats talking and injection.
  22. El Presidente Dr. Jazzy Bradford
  23. Back from the movie and just wait till it comes out on DVD. It was enjoyable but I would wait. Now I'm off to go next door and ride with them to the BB game at the high school. After that Deb and I are going for a Margi. Judy, you are too cute for words. Laura, I also look more pregnant than you do.
  24. Hubby and I are off to go to the movies to see "Inkheart". Have a great day. Be back later.
