Shalee, you and your hubby can come here for the holidays. Last year I think we spent about $100. We are retired and need to save what we can for taxes. We really don't celebrate big anyway. Hubby's Mom passed away in Dec. My Dad passed away Dec. 20th, next year my Uncle died Dec. 21st and the next year my other Uncle died Dec. 26th. There's been a few others also. So as you can see, it is a struggle to get thru the holidays. I don't need the added stress of any gimme, gimme, gimme's. I stress enough with all the baked goodies and cookies.

Shalee, I thought I heard you rummaging through the cupboards. LOL. No sweets here. I keep them out. Except for the bowl of hard candies. Give me strength to make it through Halloween. I tried to take a nap, I probably got about 15 minute. It's storming here and the dog is scared s*#tless. Well, it was enought to take the edge off. I won't be falling asleep at class tonight.

Hey guys. We need to come up with a challenge for October. This will be the worst for me. I love Fall, Halloween and apple anything. Little Smarties candies, oh my. Jenn, I know what you are trying to say to me and I understand. I guess I'm so set in my relationship with hubby that I don't realize that I am alot like that also. I like my space and my time. But I also like a hug or a pat every now and than. The love of a good man without having to be their Mom, sister, Aunt or babysitter. Give it time. Concentrate on the kids right now. Your relationship will happen. I'm off to go take a little nap. Hubby kept me up several times during the night. He had a terrible snoring night. I kept hoping he would head to the couch and let me sleep. LOL.

Morning Girls. A new day, a new start. For all and for everything. I had some of the goofiest dreams last night, they went right along with hubby's goofy snoring. Jenn, you do need to take care of yourself first. You need to learn to like yourself and realize that you are your best friend. When you have that accomplished than there is NO guy out there that can take advantage of you. They will learn to respect you and take care of you. It's a hard road, but your a strong person. Scattered rain today here and on the cool side. It will be a good week for apple picking. I'll check in when I get off work.

Oh Jane. I chatted with Tracy a little this morning and she left before I could get an answer about the weekend in Oct. I for one will be there. Long week ahead of me. I kinda like it that way. Keeps my mind and hands busy. I need to find a job that will do that more often. Have a good one and I will check in when I get up in the morning.

Oh great, Cari just reminded me that I need to get over to Louisburg, KS. to go to the Cider Mill. Have you ever had warm cider donuts. Well, Don't Do It. You will be hooked. Kat, I have tried all summer long to get hubby and BIL out to the property to get some trees cut down so they can get ready to get cut up. Nope. Now we need firewood and will once again have to pay for it. I can't really complain. There is this guy who found us years ago, he delivers and stacks for $80. Hasn't changed his prices in 8 years. We always pay him extra though. Really nice guy. Not much planned for today. Just getting myself ready for the work week. My boss is on vacation so I will be working a few of her shifts. Have a great day and hope that everyone has had a great weekend.

Ok, body hurts. My feet hurt. My head hurts. My band hurts. My fingers hurt. MY teeth hurt.................. Today's report.. Sausage, egg pattie, no biscuit. Walked 1 1/2 miles. Stood for 1 hour. Walked the Fall Fest to the end. Ate 1 funnel cake. Walked back to the other end of the Fall Fest. Bought a bag of Kettle Korn and am now munching on a small bowl. Need to make a Meatloaf, mashec potatoes, gravy, biscuits and green beans. Cupcakes for dessert. That's my food porn for the day. Starting tomorrow morning, I am never eating again. Well, till breakfast. Boy my feet are killing me.

A couple of weeks ago at Wal-Mart as I was checking out, they had on the shelf these little boxes of cake mixes. There was enough in the box to make 12 cupcakes. I thought how cute, I'll get a few boxes to keep around the house here for emergencies. So today I decided to make a batch for hubby's b-day tomorrow. I made tham and than got down a can of frosting to put on later tonight. I'm out in the kitchen doing dishes and when I get all done go to frost the cupcakes. I take the plastic lid off and someone had gotten into the frosting. I just want to know when they got into it. You can definately tell they used a spoon. Did they do it while I was at work? I need to know if it's still good. So I call my sister and she said it wasn't her because if she had done it, she would have taken the whole thing. LOL. She also would have told me and replaced it. I called my nephew at work and he can't remember if he did or not. He said it didn't sound like him but that he would have to look at it to tell. ?????. OK. Well, thank goodness I had another can. Cupcakes are done and ready for tomorrow. I would certainately hate to think I bought it that way. It's not hard and crusty, all clean and wet like fresh frosting. It will get pitched either way. I just want the nephew to look at it.

Just got my workout in. I was cleaning my room and changing the sheets on the bed when I decided that it was time to flip the mattress. Not just flip it but to switch boxsprings. Do you know how much a king size mattress weighs when it is just you moving it. Well, let me tell you. 2 tons, add that to the fact that the cat had to stand on it the whole time. Like I needed that extra help. Hubby came home and said I should have waited for him, lol. Uh huh.

I was going to have a full day, and I still might. But for right now I have my feet up and enjoying a few minutes to myself. Hubby and I decided to not go to the gym today. Cutting grass for 5 hours will cause you to do that. I'll probably go take a walk later. We have our big walk tomorrow morning. So need to keep the legs loose. Thinking about having hubby take me out to lunch for some nachos with extra jalapenos. I haven't gone potty for about 5 days now and the jalapenos always open me up. Sorry about that ladies. Kat, you can always come here and get things off your chest. De-stress. Sometimes we need to do that so that we don't head to the cupboards. Everyone have a great day.

Kat, what a nightmare. I would be bald by now trying to deal with that. On top of everything else you deal with. We are very lucky to have excellent insurance. Years ago I was a patient at St. Luke's Cancer Center for 6 months. Could you imagine what that bill would have looked like. Yikes. Ended up costing us only $100.00 and that was because I had requested a privat room for the week of my surgery. 3 surgeries, daily treatments, ER visit, Home Health 3 times a week. That would have sent us in to Bankrupcy. Long day for me. I'm home now sucking on a Rte 44 Iced Tea with Lemon from Sonic. Took my sis to the Doc's. Took her grocery shopping. Came home and Hubby and I took off to church and spent 4& 1/2 hours mowing. Thanks to the cooler weather, there wasn't to much to cut, but still alot to do. Came home and had to go with Nephew to the dealership to get a copy of paperwork for the Insurance company. I am now home with my shoes off and relaxing. I need to get in and take a shower. I stink. Josie, that is so cool about finding your Grandparents names. I hope to someday make it to NY. Never been there. NY city that is. I've been to Buffalo. LOL.

Morning everyone, I'm up and showered. Getting ready to go take my sis to a Doc appointment and shopping. After I take her home it's time for me and hubby to go over to the church to mow. Thank goodness it's cool out today. My eating got a little out of hand last night. Junk. But I was still under my calorie count. I just hate wasting calories on crap. Well, make it a good one.

I was like that also. I grew up in a neighborhood full of boys and I had to keep up. It wasn't anything to come home covered in whatever we got into. Than I turned into a girl and would pitch a fit if a speck of anything got on me. I find myself lately turning back into that little girl. Especially when I have the little kids here. So what if I get wet with the hose. I'll dry off. But the expression on their faces and the laughter out of their mouths is so worth it. The lipstick and glitter. My hair filled with clips. Fingernail polish I wouldn't be caught dead in. If it doesn't kill me and the kids are having the time of their lives, who cares. Nothing is more precious than the laughter of a child.

I'm home from work at the hospital. Oh my goodness, we were really busy. the hospital was packed and they were still doing a surgery when we left. I had to take some Aleve when I got home. My left leg is killing me. I'm so glad I can draw strength from you guys. Knowing all that you have been thru teaches me that I can do this also. And I don't just mean the Band and the diet thing. Every day life struggles. Thank You for showing me the way.

Jenn, Bravo. :tt1: You can't believe how tremendously proud I am of you. You have achieved so much in this last year. You are an inspiration to me and all. I have been heavy all my life. Right now I don't feel comfortable telling what my starting weight was when I decided to go on this journey. But to date I am down 190 pounds. I still have a long ways to go and with the band, my Hubby, my Doc and with all our your support, I will make it. I am not a stress eater. I am not an emotional eater. I was never abused, raped, fondled or molested. I come from a very loving and caring family. My parents were married 40 years before they were seperated by death. I just love to eat. Eat anything-almost. I eat when Im full. I eat when I'm tired, happy, crying, watching tv, sitting outside, swimming, visiting. You name it. I push my band to the limit. I know it's wrong but I do it anyway. However, this last fill is possibly the one that's going to do it for me for awhile. It is really telling me to knock this s*#t off. Quit pushing it. I've started walking again. Taking a renewed interest in my work outs at Curves and at the Gym. The road ahead of me is still long but, if I never lose another pound, I'm still proud of my accomplishment. In the last year I have done things I never would have thought of doing. I get out more, I do more and I live more. I'm not afraid to go to a store and hear, "look at that fat lady, Mom". I don't see the pity in peoples eyes as I pass them. Or the disgust. I'm not a size 8 or 10 but I can buy clothes form Dillard's and wal-mart. I don't have to rely on catalogs. I wish all of you luck in your journey and always remember that you never walk alone. Someone is always here for you. I for one am.

I just got back from an unexpected walk. I was sitting here watching tv and heard the sirens and they stopped by real close. Hubby went out the door and said that someone was laying in the street. So I leashed the doggie and off we went. As I was going by they were loading a guy on to a stretcher. So I walked up to the corner and came back. By that time he was gone and the police were talking to a guy from his crew. there was blood in the street so I'm thinking he must have been hit by a car. Poor guy. I hope he will be ok. But I got my walk in for the day.

I have never watched that show. Biggest Loser. I guess I should give it a try sometime. May inspire me. Home from work and I swear I clean more there than I do at home. One of my customers came in and brought me a Sonic Rte 44 diet coke. That was so sweet of her. I drank the whole thing. Now I'll be up 2 or 3 times tonight to go pee.- Home Thread...for the thread homeless :)
Oh Mimi, how exciting for you. My surgeries are a long ways off. I bet you can't hardly wait. I told hy hubby that I was going to need a TT and he asked me about my breast. I told him by the time I was done, I'd have the breast of an 18 year old. LOL. He's excited. Keep us posted. - Home Thread...for the thread homeless :)
