Good Wednesday Morn, Vi's~~ Eeeeewwww... dry socket is THE WORST... I had it when I had my teeth pulled... blech, ick, yuck... it makes your mouth taste like something died in there... bleh... I'm shuddering even thinking about it! Good thing she's going back!! I'm getting ready to head out for the day... make it a great one, Vi's!!

Got everything done AND baked 15 loaves of pumpkin bread (1 batch makes 3 loaves)... need to do 15 more tomorrow... then another 15 or so Saturday... the house smells sooooo good!! But I didn't even lick a finger!! AND... DH brought home a BIG box filled w/BIG cookies from a vendor... one was broken to bits so I had 1 teensy bit... wow it tasted good!! How ironic was it that I had to battle not going into the kitchen to sneak one during the BL finale!! Gotta love irony!! But willpower won out & I didn't do it!! Even tho I was all alone in the dark w/just the Christmas tree blinking to keep me company while everyone else was snuggled in their beds... I so easily COULD have done it... but I DIDN'T! YAY ME!! Tomorrow I'm going to see a friend whom I haven't seen since the summer... hope she notices the difference!! G'night Vi's!

I had to change out of my sweats & old t-shirt to go pick up the kids & stop @ the PO & dry cleaners... sooooo... I put on and AM WEARING the size 20 NONstretch Eddie Bauer jeans I tried on the other day! They do go on, they do zip, but honestly, they ARE a bit tight... but... they look good! Amazed!!

LAURA: STEP AWAY FROM THE BOX!! Donate it somewhere... anywhere. Or give it to someone who provides you a service during the year... hairdresser, mail carrier, vet, dentist (well, that probably wouldn't be a good one)... you get the idea.

Oh Kat, I envy you the ability to just "saddle up" and go for a ride!! A secret wish I have is to ride... I'm building up the courage to ask at the barn where dd rides... but I want to be "small" enough so I'm not embarrassed when they ask me how much I weigh so I don't make the horse keel over!! What weight would be good?? The funny thing about the cc call yesterday was that they were ALL debit card "charges", not actual "credit" charges... so it was all coming out of my checking account! I DO appreciate it... but at the same time, I get a bit of an "oogity" Big Brother Is Watching kind of vibe, too. Ok... Family Room & Kitchen are clean... on to Living Room & Dining Room (which are pretty trashed from different "projects" lately)... perseverence!

Good Tues Morn, Vi's~~ Thanks for the CTCD reminder, Tracy... I'll need it as I begin baking the 25+ loaves of pumpkin bread I need to give this week!! I must've done some damage yesterday w/the ol' credit card because I got a call from the card company wanting to verify "increased usage" on it! LOL! Don't they know it's Christmas?? Thankfully (or not?), they were all mine! So today I'm staying in, cleaning & baking & hopefully starting to wrap while the kiddo's are at school & I can do it while ALONE! Well, it certainly seems as if the marjority of the Vi's were up last night! Oh my! Tracy... don't you love it when something clicks like that & you get more accomplished than you had planned?? Love it! Had a GREAT trip to the Mall... not crowded at all & got everything on my list... then popped into Borders & shopped & treated myself to a skim latte while I skimmed a magazine... ahhhhh... THEN DH called & asked if I wanted to meet for lunch (wouldn't have had the coffee if I'd known that, oh well!) so we met & went to my FAVORITE Indian restaurant for a relaxing lunch... a nice day! I'm really enjoying the Holiday Season this year... I haven't been rushing & everything's been enjoyable... nice & balanced... NOW I think I'm going to go upstairs, hide the gifts, & take a snooze... THEN I'll knock out the rest of my "To Do" list... cleaning & *maybe* baking (I'll give it another try!). Have a great afternoon, Vi's!

Good Monday Morn, Vi's~~ JUDY! I was awake from 2 - 4am... we could've chatted! I actually did think about getting on the 'puter... but instead I lay there and drove myself crazy trying to fall asleep... I think my mind was just on overdrive w/lists & thoughts, etc... of course, now I feel very sluggish and bleh... not good, because... Today I hit the Mall for my LAST SHOPPING DAY OF THE SEASON!! I haven't even been to the Mall yet! So I need to be rarin' to go & at the top of my game! Make it great one, Vi's!!

Closet is DONE! Internet orders are DONE! List for next week is DONE! Laundry is... getting done! Phew!! Wish I had the Bodybugg I asked "Santa" for today... would've liked to have seen how many cals I worked off today!!!

Why do I even bother to "edit" & correct spelling?? It just turns it all crazy wack-a-doo!

I tried to bake some cookies yesterday... "tried" being the operative word... I put in 1 POUND of butter instead of 1 CUP... so they just oozed all over into big blobs... DH & the kids still ate them... + me, heh heh... but I threw out the rest of the batter & MIGHT try again next week... I'm a great baker so can't figure out how I did such a newbie mistake... Tracy... I get in those "moods" also from time to time... my family knows to straighten up & fly right when I do!! I'm still thinking that a visit to Pam in the winter would be nice... & warm!! Well, I'm about 3/4 of the way through my closet + Xmas organizing... phew! I'm taking a break. I've tried on about 10 pair of jeans that I didn't realize I even had... I started in 26/28 bottoms and now, based on my "research" today, I'm in tight but wearable (& I think maybe they're not "tight" but I'm just used to wearing stuff too big?) 20s!! Amazing! I've got a big bag of nice stuff to go to my sister's church's thrift shop & another big bag to take to the "Planet Aid" box in town & a big plastic bin w/some smaller sizes + spring/summer stuff that *might* fit next year but I hope will be too big by then. (I'm actually concerned about the WDW trip in Feb & having enough to wear that's warmer-weather appropriate! Yikes!) Ok... enough stalling... time to finish up... & then tackle either our bathroom (yuck!) or bedroom... what a day!

Good Sunday Morn, Vi's~~ We didn't get the storm... just rain... yay! I am not a winter wonderland type of gal... give me sun & fun any day!! Good luck to all of you who are getting it!! A quiet day planned for today -- NO appointments/games/errands to do! Amazing! But will be cleaning/organizing & making my FINAL Xmas list & plan of attack to get it all done next week. I've been eating out-of-control since Thursday... am going to TRY to do shakes today & get back to my "routine" eating this week... not getting on the scale... I guess if we get through the holiday season w/out a gain, that is an accomplishment, huh?? (Think what it would've been on Jan 1 if we WEREN'T banded!! ) Make it a great day, everyone!! Oh, PS -- DS didn't make the third cut after yesterday's try-out... but we are so very proud that he tried & of how far he DID make it.

ANNOUNCEMENT!~~ I received my SS gift today!!!!!!!!!!!!! I was sooooo excited! Actually, the kids were, too! When I drove up to the house, ds comes running over to the car & said "Your Secret Santa gift is here!" It was so cute!! And it was from... drumroll please........................ Kat! :Banane20: :Banane20: It was a big box filled with all sorts of wonderful items... I will have ds take a pic over the weekend & I'll post it... and THE BEST PART -- I called Kat to thank her and we had a WONDERFUL conversation!! We did it -- we jumped the divide between cyberspace & reality!! It was so neat to hear her voice... and Kinsey's too!! What a great day... thank you so much again, Kat!!!

Good Friday Morn, Vi's!~~ Wow! Tracy & Laura... you both look FABULOUS!! Hi Everyone! Yesterday was a nice day... baked 12 pumpkin breads while the tree twinkled & the Christmas music played... felt all cozy & warm... & my Mom arrived and after dinner we all went to ds's winter concert and he had 2 sax solos (proud mama alert!) and then we went to Coldstone & I indulged in a kids' size pumpkin pie but oh my it was so good & I enjoyed it & do not feel guilty at all actually and then mom spent the night & she's still here now... I love my Mom! Today will be a busy day of going here & there & everywhere up & down between DC & here... phew! Some kind of Winter storm is predicted for us Sat nite - Sunday but they have no idea what... "Winter Mix" is what they say when they can't FOREcast the weather... they're more like weather reporters here... they tell us what happened AFTER the fact... ha ha ha! Rough work if you can get it! But I'll go to the store to stock up on bread, milk, TP just in case!! Ok, gotta dash... make it a great day, everyone!! Oh! PS--- 8 weeks 'til our Disney trip!!!!!!!!!! Sshhhhhhh! It's a secret! So I have no one to count down with... but inside, I'm very excited! TTFN!
