I have the worst snacking habit, okay not the worst but I love to snack, a few days ago someone posted about roasted edamame and it is amazing!
I get my snack, and I get Protein with it : ) I would eat 100 calories of crackers or the sort, which provides 2g Protein and about 15 carbs, not many of which are for fibre. 1 serving of roasted edamame has 130 calories 10g carbs, 8 of which are fibre and 14g of protein, so the snack is helping me reach my protein goals and not costing me extra calories.
Sorry had to share, as I can't explain how much this is going to help me.
I am using Seapoint Farms Lightly Salted Roasted Edamame as an FYI

ok I'm an italiana here and gnocchi are the bomb you can skip the potato as well and make them with ricotta to akme them less carby and more proteiny. You use 2 cups flour, 2 eggs, 2 cups ricotta pinch of salt mix up until dough like roll into long strips cut off scrunch up boil until floating and top with favourite sauce....mmmmm good

Hi all. I am now down roughly 60 pounds and seven weeks out from when I started my liquid pre-diet. Am also having some awesome NSV moments. Some are:

No longer wearing 3x shirts. They are packed and ready to be taken to Goodwill. My size 48 (expandable) pants? Gone too. Can button my pants at my belly button. No more "slant pants." I wore a much smaller belt...and it was a new one! Went three days this past week without needing a mid day nap. Three days now without any slimes or throwing up. Joined a local health club to work out. Snoring is all but gone. No more BP meds at all (125/65 is normal now). And BMs much more normal and less stressful. Bought myself an I-touch. That was my 50 pound loss gift to myself. Any suggestions for the 100 plateau? That's a short list, but ones that come to mind.

    Please, share yours!

Let's look at the fact that this journey is not just about the weight loss, but about all the wonderful things that continue to happen along the ride!

So here is the deal with me and Alcohol. I am a drinker...period. Not an abuser but as you it is very cultural for me also. I can pretty much drink as I did before except at way lower amounts/drinks/shots...I am now a size 6. Before surgery I could drink several drinks..or a whole bottle for that matter....NOT NOW! I only drink on the weekends..usually only one night fri or sat. Sometimes I can drink 2 drinks in a couple hours sometimes 3 or 4......pretty much not more than that or I end up dancing on tables! I have also never gotten dumping from the alcohol either...so that is a plus.
Now that being said since I have had surg have I over drank...yes I have, oops my bad, but I am human .....so watch at the beginning.....over doing comes very fast now. Also I did not start drinking again till I was 3 months post op..which was New Years Eve. FYI i am not a judge to anyone......... so many people seem to think that's ok.....FYI...it's not!

    chocolate Peanut Butter Fudge
1 package sugar free Chocolate pudding
    2 tablespoons Splenda
    1/2 cup fat-free half & half
    1 tablespoon creme de cacoa
    3 heaping tablespoons Peanut Butter
Spray a small baking pan. A loaf pan is good, but an 8x8" square pan will work.
Mix all ingredients together except for the peanut butter in a saucepan. Place over low flame and quickly add the peanut butter. Heat until the peanut butter melts thoroughly. Stir until well blended.
Spoon and spread mixture into pan. Refrigerate until firm, then slice into at least 15 squares.
    Note:
I've made substitutions, like DaVinci peanut butter Syrup or amaretto for the creme de cacao. This is a really forgiving recipe, so have fun with the flavors. It keeps about a week in the refrigerator, and can be frozen.

I had just finished shopping at Walmart and was heading out the door. As I approached the older greeter, I noticed he was talking to some guy. I could hear what they were saying.
The guy talking to the greeter started staring at me, and as I walked by, his head followed me. He was saying, "I should work here, so I can check out all of the good-looking women."
It was very cheesy, and I was not interested in any way shape or form, but I thought it was hilarious, and I loved the attention. I am now turning heads of strangers! It has been a while since that happened.
