Is My Weight Loss Too Slow?
it is definatly hard not to be competitive. everyone wants to get there as fast as possible. i try to just be happy for the success that i have had, and not to worry about the other stuff. no one is ever going to lose equally, cause we never eat the same things, or do the same amount of exercise or have the same genetics. so just smile and dont sweat it

New Year, New Me!
Totally love it! Yes we need to put ourselves first sometimes too, not always, but at least sometimes. My hubby definatly can tell that I have been spending more time taking care of myself. I posted a new profile pic on fb and he posted that he thought I was hot, and he loves my new look, and that I am doing my makeup and trying to look good. He also said he wanted to jump my bones...haha, that was a little embarresing! lol New years resolutions are great, when you actually do them

FRUSTRATING NEWS !!
they have a high protein slim fast now. my nut and surgeon recomended it. worked really well. I would buy the powder stuff and use it with almond milk for the lower calories and carbs. you gotta be careful with the almond milk though at first because it will make you run to the toilet with diahrea if you drink to much of it without being used to it first.

New Year, New Me!
So excited for the new year this time around! For the first time ever my new years resolution to lose weight will come true! Theres no mabye about it, I WILL suceed! That feels so great to say. So now that are new years weight resolutions will all be coming true.......What are some ideas for New new years eve resolutions for us? For me; I resolve to make time for myself, and treat myself sometimes too. This is especially hard for me to do. I am a mother of 3, and for those of us with kids know, once you have kids it is no longer all about ourselves. When I go to a store I have no problem buying all of my children new clothes, or toys, or things they need.....but when it comes to buying something for myself, well I don't really need it, I can wait....we dont have the money. Not anymore. I am going to treat myself every once in a while to something that I truely want or need. I deserve it. What do you resolve to do for yourself?

Being Sleeved In The Real World
you can do it! i bought doughnuts for the family and i thought i could just have a little piece, then when it was in my mouth it felt so nasty to me. i could feel all the oil on the roof of my mouth and i wanted to vomit. i just didnt want it anymore. as for other temptations, dont tell yourself no, i cant have that ever anymore. if you do that you will fail. if there is something you just have to have, then make it 1/5th the size that you used to eat and try a little. it makes it so hard to succeed if you are always riding yourself to hard. as for those frappachino whatevers, i have had 2 since my surgery, i went with the skinny version in a small and it only has 100 calories. i didnt even finish it because it was to much for me, but they were a nice little treat. i will repeat myself, you can do it! good luck

Please Tell Your Gastric Sleeve Surgery Hospital Stories/experiences!
my hospital was wonderful. pulled up to valet parking, went in, got an escort to the surgery floor...they took me back in to pre op area. started my iv. all of the docs and nurses that were to be in the surgery came to talk with me. they gave me some med to relax me. i was wheeled into surgery. they put some mask on me and didnt tell me that it was gonna knock me out. the next thing i knew i was awake in recovery. my first reaction was that i was in a lot of pain. i groaned at the nurse and he gave me some extra pain med other then the morphine i was already on. it was wonderful....took the pain away instantly. they kept me in recovery until my pain was kept at bay. then off to icu. i had one rn and one lvn assigned to me at all times, seriously just waiting outside my door. i got up and started walking less then 2 hours after surgery and then i felt a whole lot better when i could do that. it relieved the gas pain. my family was able to come in right after i was outta recovery. i wasnt able to have anything to eat or drink for the rest of that day. then the next morning i was able to have clear liquids. the doc kept me 2 days because i live so far away from the hospital. i had a leak test the day that i left the hospital. the stuff you have to swallow tastes like hell in a cup. the worst thing i have ever tasted in my life! i would rather drink vomit! but other then that it was a great experiance. loved loved loved my hospital. they treated me like a princess.

Am I Just Being Greedy?
one word.......NO!

Weight Gain Before Gastric Sleeve Surgery
i had a few last supers, but then i woke up and got on the band wagon. i ended up losing almost 50 pounds before my surgery. i gave myself better recovery time, less chance of complications, and a head start at losing this weight. since i had my surgery i have just lost over 40 pounds, but the total amount lost is 94 pounds since i gave myself a head start. that sure feels good, and is way better then any food that i am missing....lol good luck kicken those bad habits to the curb as fast as you can you can do it!!!!

How can I control my pride?
i feel proud of myself for the work that i have done. i dont feel guilty for feeling this way, for God is the one who gave us this ability to lose the weight to be healthier. i dont believe it is a sin to be proud of yourself doing well. you are proud of your children when they do something good arent you? do you feel guilty or sinful about feeling pride in your children? i would hope not. i agree with veda, this is a feeling of accomplishment, and not a feeling that you are better then others, there is a huge difference. as long as you arent being vain, i think you are doing wonderfully

In The Mood
oh yeah it does! i know this if for guys but i just couldnt help myself! haha since i have lost over 90 pounds i am a horney teenager again, without the teens...hehe my hubby is like, damn woman, you just attacked me yesterday! haha i even dressed up like a school girl with piggy tails and all for him one night as a surprize when he got home. i guess i feel sexier so i want it more :Banane56:

Is My Weight Loss Too Slow?
i am at the same as you. i have only lost 44 pounds since surgery. i had it aug 16th. i see others with later dates and they have lose 60 to 70 pounds and such. i know it is coming off slowly, but i am trying not to fret, because with the slow weight loss you lose less hair, your skin has a chance to shrink as you are shrinking, and people dont gawk at you...going, omg what are you doing to yourself..and such. i havent told anybody about the surgery so it is easier to lose slowly and not draw so much attention. so see, there are benefits to losing slowly!

Does Any One Else Not Like The Feeling Of Food In Their Gastric Sleeve?
it took me until about 2 months out to feel completely better, as well as to get used to the new tummy, and how fast i can eat, as well as how much. ive got it down now and i dont get sick anymore. every once in a while i will get the case of the burps where it feels like i have air trapped in under the food without enough room for it to get around and that sucks....not really painfull just annoying, but even that has gotten better. it really does get better! keep your chin up! good luck to you

I Hate My Gastric Sleeve
that really sucks! i hope you get to feeling better! there are alot of us that go through this time where you say what the heck did i do to myself. I think i felt this way between week 3 to week 9. i thought.....oh my god, i have ruined myself...and i will never feel normal again. now that i have healed all the way i am able to eat more, and feel good about it not sick. i am able to drink normally again, and that makes all the difference, i hope it gets better fast!
