I didn't have it for Lapband Surgery . But Ive had my period with other surgeries .

Im right there with ya . But I didn't go through all that I went through to get the Lapband to let some food that got me here in the first place allow me to fail.

Hello , I was also Banded on December 1st.
This is how it went "down" for me ..
First 2weeks:
2-3 protein shakes (8oz BOOST) a day, SIPPING SLOW (no straws)
Water through out the day
Sugar Free Jello
V-8 juice
Chicken broth 4oz.
Now i'm on soft foods:
3 weeks post-op to February 9th:
These are just a few options, but this is a day for me
I eat every 2 1/2 to 3 hours ( I actually set 6 alarms on my ipod touch for it to go off when I have to eat, WORKS GREAT and the weight is pouring off)Ive noticed the days im really busy the weight doesnt come off fast unless I have my 6 meals aday.
Water and Protein shake in between each meal.Drinks 30 mins -1hr after meals.
Breakfast : 1/4 cup oatmeal splash of 1% milk
Snack: Protein shake... 8oz 1% milk and 1 scoop of my protein powder (purchased from Wal*Mart) .
Water
Lunch : 1/4 cup Cottage Cheese
Snack: Protein Shake
Water
Dinner: 1/4 cup vegys
Snacks: Protien shake
Water

Water lol.
I have not had a fill yet and im not hungry at all , even though I hear my stomach growling. If I didnt set the 6 alarms on my Ipod to go off every 2 1/2 to 3 hours, I would probably never eat.

Awesome.. Good for you !! It will be 1 month New years Day for me. Im down almost 15 lbs... No regrets on my end too !!

I was banded on December 1st. I feel like i'm already 100% back to normal. No pain, Just the left shoulder pain and burping kinda hurts. I have done clear liquids for the first two weeks. (today is actually my two weeks) I see my surgeon tomorrow for the first check up after surgery. Then I will start on soft foods. ..Cream of wheat (healthy grain) oatmeal, Cottage cheese, Chabani yogurt, 99% Lean turkey or chicken(cooked lightly) fresh vegys only a 1/4 cup of every thing and an 8oz protien shake and water between each meal !!!! Im down 12.6 lbs as of today! YAY ME !! I cant wait for my first fill !!

Yup, they found a Hiatal Hernia during my pre-op barium swallow.
I'll never forget that day . I was so upset.
I heard many stories that if you have a bad hiatal hernia they will not do ANY bariatric surgeries. I wasnt aware at the time the hernia they found was real small . All I was told was "well, looks like you have a good size hiatal hernia". Ugh I wanted to die.
My surgeon got the results of the barium swallow and he said it's very small and that when he gets inside if he has to repair the hernia he will do that while in there. Now that I think about it , I dont recall after surgery of they even mentioned if they fixed the hernia. Hmmmmm I should ask.
