bring suplies with you if you will have it most hospitals don't hand out tampons, and some floors don't even have feminine suplies unless their is a L&D unit in hospital.

They will test for pregnancy anyway just as a precaution.

I had mine the day of surgery and all i had to do was use a tampax, my cycle did lighten due to the preop die thought

It will be no problem, I got mine the day before, and they told me to just put on a fresh pad before surgery in the bathroom keep on my undies and they had me to put on a hospital gown and i went to surgery.

I didn't have it for Lapband Surgery . But Ive had my period with other surgeries .

I have mine right now and I had after surgery 3 days ago. It is also 11/2 weeks earlier than it was suppossed to be. The cramps are worse then I have ever had. Can't take Midol either, Plus not on any narcotics because they made me sick even with anti-naseau medication. Just waiting for it to be over!

Yes I got it before and it was at the end of it but it wasnt a problem at all.
