  1. Thank you all for the information and support. I appreciate it a lot. I'm gonna do down shopping today. I don't have family or friends that understand what I am going through so it's been tough.
  2. I am two weeks post op and I still haven't been able to get all my protein and fluids in each day that they want me to. Maybe I am just out of the loop on resources for protein? I was finally able to eat a scrambled egg today. I am at a loss and need some help guys! My energy level has plummeted and I know it's because I'm not getting enough.
  3. I'm 4 days out and struggling with full liquids, I just have to go very slow and let it kinda bubble down before I take another sip. Why are they giving you antibiotic? They gave me IV antibiotics while I was in the hospital. I hope tomorrow is better for you. It's been a roller coaster for me. Good days and bad. Good luck!
  4. I hope all goes well and you make it home safe.
  5. I didn't drive. My husband did. The bumps were rough but it wasn't unbearable. That is a long drive. I would make sure to get out and take a couple of short walk breaks. Where are you driving to?
  6. I had my surgery on Monday. It's been tough but I think from everything I've read here it will be worth it. Just try to stay positive. I just got home today and am already feeling much better than I was yesterday. Good luck to you!!
  7. Everything went great today. Dr Fass did a great job. He used some tool called a spider so I only have one incision at the belly button. I'm having pain of course but nothing I can't handle and I have a wonderful nurse who antipates all my needs. I'm glad this part is over and ready to get on with my life!
  8. I have mine at 7:30 tomorrow. Good luck to you!
  9. I can't believe that you were have such bad symptoms from just pain meds. Glad you got it figured out!
  10. Nice to meet you too Mel! I get more nervous everyday! Best wishes to you as well. My name is Bonnie.
  11. This is my first day on this forum. I am really looking forward to getting to know everyone. Everyone is so supportive and inspiring! My surgery is on Halloween!
  12. I'm having surgery on Halloween as well. My youngest daughter turns 2 Oct 29th. I'm sad to miss her first real trick or treating experience but I just keep telling myself I am making myself better for my kids. I have an older daughter that is 6 and she doesn't understand why I am having surgery.
  13. Wow that was quick! It took me approximately 6 months til surgery. My surgery is October 31st as well. I'm so nervous! A lot of my family members and friends are excited for me. I'm not at all because I can't get past my nervousness. I just found this site and this is my first post!
