    I Hit BULLS EYE

okay I am happy but jealous too. I just had my 2nd fill last weekend and she put what I thought she said was 7 cc's. I was really excited because most people that have that much seem to hit their "sweet spot" so I was only expecting the same results. Well other than getting stuck a couple of times, I still feel hungry and like I can eat atleast 3/4's of what I could before I was banded. Oh and did I mention it's been almost 3 months and all that Ive lost is 10 stinkin pounds. I am just curious to know what was your beginning weight and what fill number is this for you? thanks sincerely, feeling pretty desperate
  3. Thank you so much Shonette. Your words of wisdom and very needed and appreciated. I get my second fill this weekend. I am working hard now to keep my diet in check and I am also trying to get more walking in. I know that in the end, it all falls back on ME and how much work and commitment that I am willing to put into it. Thanks again!

  4. Thanks adding me as a friend.

  5. I really didn't realized how much work having this band was going to be for me. Every single person is different but it was a lot of work and hard dedication to lose my weight. Sometimes my band was a friend and sometimes it was not. It's been an on going battle to have this band. However it's been worth it all!

  6. If I may, let me give you some words of wisdom about having a band. It's not an over night fix and your desired restrictions takes time. Most people have to work toward that green zone. When I first realized what my green zone was it was like this light that finally came on. It's realizing that you are full without the feeling of being over stuffed. (continued 1of 2)

My Weight Loss Journey -- Why I underwent Lap Band Surgery

You will do great! YOu have now extended years onto your life and I know that this band will help you enjoy them all the better. I am right there with you on the failure or success thing. Sometimes I seem to sabotage myself. But once we get over ourselves, we can accomplish much. Best of luck and blessings to you.

    2nd fill=frustrated!

bandedchick I am right there with you. I recently had my first fill and I was starting to wonder am I really that disfunctional that my body is rejecting the whole lap band process and experience while everyone else is seeming to have great results??? but I still have hope and I know if we just keep the faith, things will turn out alright. and im from texas too and i love your pic lol.

    NEGITIVITY?? REALLY??

I have to admit that I am in my negative phase of things. I was just banded in Aug and now have my first fill and I am not seeing the results that I "think" that I should see. But the thing is that I still have hope that if I do MY part, things will turn out for the better. You just have to stay positive regardless. Most people do come on here with the negative because they feel down or discouraged and they are afraid to fail yet again at another WL endeavor. But most of the time I have found that there is a happy ending if you keep up with your fills and follow the weight loss patterns that best suite you. It is a learning and growing process but you can do it. We all can...

    negatives all around....

I know it's hard but shake the haterz off! If taking cheap shots at you is what she needs to feel better hey, let her have her little moment. She could have easily shortened that post and just made it say she lost 50 lbs and she's happy with her accomplishment. But since she did take it there you keep on smiling and kill her a** with kindness. Wish her well and let her attitude and people with her type of attitude be your motivation to reach your goal weight and stay there. You got this!!!

    Need a little help....

I just recently had my first fill and I am still having the same issues that you guys have mentioned with wanting to eat any and everything in sight. All we can do is try and follow the doc's orders and just have hope that it will get better with each fill. And it will. You are not in this alone what you are feeling.
  13. Congrats! I am really happy to hear that things have worked out so great for you. I am not having the best results but maybe I need to tweak my mind and not blame the band for not doing its job. I am happy for you " )

  14. I understand Rachel. We all have to go through our own personal routes to get to where we want to be on this journey. I understand where you are coming from. I can try to eat like I have restriction but then again if I had that mastered, then what would I need a band for?

If you are struggling with weight loss- please read

Hi Kelly. I was glad to read your post because I am feeling like a failure thus far. I was banded back in August and lost about 13 pounds at first, but have now gone back up close to my starting weight. I got my first fill this past weekend and I have no restriction. I am trying not to get discouraged because I do know that the band is a tool and not a "magic device" as they say but what is the use in getting it if it's not going to help at all. HELLO, I'm fat for a reason so obviously I have a food addiction and I am really sick of hearing that 'You have to do your part" and "the band is not going to do it all". Like my 5 year old says, "but duh". I am aware of this!!! but just when exactly does the lap band kick in and do its part??? I'm kind of feeling like I should have gotten the gastric bypass as planned. Anyone who has gone through this and can give me some words of encouragement it would be so appreciated right now...
