    Driving

That is funny you ask that... I was wondering the same thing. I am sure a week is fine but I feel kind of weak and it has been ten days today for me and I am a little nervous. I must say I do live in a moderately busy part of town, lot of congestion so ... I plan on waiting. Just started full liguids today, hoping to feel more energized soon.

    Blaaaah

Hi, I was sleeved on Feb4th, I start full liquids tomorrow. I can not wait to drink Muscle milk and soup. I am so excited. Thanks for the heads up on the beans. I was thinking about putting some in the blender and adding water so it has the consistancy of a soup, probably bad idea. I have a weird kind of "ache" right in the center of my stomach, about4 in above my belly button. It is not even on an incision, just strange and sometimes uncomfortable. I think it is all the changes we are going through. I had those with different surgeries.. I do not think I would worry only if your look red or irratated. I have been feeling blahh for the last two day, due to lack of nothing to eat. Congrats on the weight loss. I am down 13 since surgery. 26 since I started pre op diet. I am tickled.
  4. Wow, You can really seel how every Dr. plan is different. I am 10 days out tomorrow and just starting full liquids. I am not hungry at all but do lack the energy. So I am excited about starting this phase. I What keeps me there is wanting to give my stomach time to heal from the staple line inside. I am afraid to eat more... all though I must say I am a little jealous. eggs and taco meat w/ cheese sounds yummy.
  5. You can purchase videos to workout in your home for strength/resistance training. That would be a start.

    Help Desired, Please

Dear Kathy, You sound like a wonderful and compassionate woman. I admire your commitment to your husband. I also admire how you recognize that you are not the only one in pain. Sometimes we only see our own discomfort. I know you said that your husband would probably have a fit if he knew you posted personnal things about your relationship online, my husband would also. Yet, I think if I was you I would share both of those posts that you have written. They showed your sincerity and mostly the love and commitment to your husband. He might get upset but eventually would he see how inlove with him you are? Your words moved me. You and your husband are in my prayers.

I Feel Like I'm Gaining Instead Of Losing

I am sure you are losing. 25 lbs so far is awesome!!!!!!
  12. Okay, here it goes... I was sleeved on Feb 4th. I feel wonderful, I do not feel constipated or anything like that. I have been on liquids for 2 weeks easy. The last bowel movement I had was on Feb 2nd, eight days ago. Should I be concerned at all? Would I even be having any kind of BM without eating any solid foods. I suddenly feel ignorant. lol If it is a concern, any ideas? Thanks :blush2:

    Liquid Diet And Starving

Your doing great, you made it to day 4. I struggled the first few days really bad then suddenly something shifted and it was down hill from there. Hang in there and just keep telling yourself... this to will pass. Another thing keep full on liquids, the more water and others liquids the more you feel fuller.
  14. I just got back from MX . I was sleeved by Dr. Kelly on Feb 4th. I have had no complications and am doing wonderful. I am up and about and feeling great. He was amazing. He was available and visited when I was at the hospital and then visited me at my hotel. He is a very caring and dedicated surgeon. The reason I chose him in the first place is that I noticed that is seemed to me from this board that his patients seem to recover very nicely, also he has a lot of experience. I do believe he is going through some changes and everyone is not going to like everybody all the time but I have to say, I felt geniune concern from him and he made sure I was comfortable. I also had a sleeve sister and he treated her with the same care. On an added note, without going into detail, the night before I left he went out of his way to make sure that I was leaving MX prepared. He did not have to do that. I am forever indebted! I recommend him highly. P.S. I refer to my sleeve as my kelly belly... I know i sound like an advertisement all the sudden but I am not . I am a real person with a great , real experience.

    I'm Alive.

Praying your swelling goes down and you have a speedy recovery! God Bless you.
  16. I second what NEW HOPE wrote. Look at the bright side quick might mean more skin later. Slow and moderate most likely will make all the difference later in how you look. I think it is a blessing in disguise. It is hard to feel that now but if you know you are doing the right things by eating and working out, it really is to your advantage. Take pics monthly, I plan on looking back at all the NSV others have shared when getting discouraged. Soon you will be seeing those of your own. I am right behind you, seeing how my journey plays out. Good for you girl working out so hard and eating right, it just a matter of time !!!!
  17. What is you favorite food since being sleeved? Do you crave the same foods as you did before surgery? I am a creature of habit eater. I wonder if that will change. I can eat the same cereal , sandwich everyday for a year, wouldn't bother me.
  18. Your on final count down....... I will be praying for you. I know you had to wait. I did also. A entire new ball game begins. I am so happy for you!!!!!!
  19. Thank you sweet lady! I am doing wonderful. I can not beleive how great I feel. I have hope now. I feel like I just did a 1000 sit ups and I struggle with having enough fluids but I am not hungry at all. I am down 5lbs. since my surgery on Sat. the 4th. total of 17 1/2 since pre op. I am tickled!!!

Today Was My Pre Op Day

I was sleeved on Feb 4th. I recall counting down the days, they will be a mere memory soon. I still can not believe it. I feel great . I said to someone earlier the best thing is that when my sergeon took my stomach he replaced within me HOPE. I lost that a long time ago. I am truly happy for you. May you recover quickly and with ease. Sending prayers your way.

    Soooo Frustrating..lol

Rant away .... that would be frustrating!
  22. I was the only one that did not realize that I had to lose A LOT of weight. Setting up my ticker was a wake call. Don't get me wrong, I knew but didn't let it sink in. I have a fear of people, asking me questions about how much I have lost but I thought it was because I do not like the attention on me. Being sleeved recently I haven't experienced those things. Thank you for posting this for it gives me insight and also prepares me how to deal with it.
  23. Hi Everyone, I made it home from Mexico. I feel fantastic. Gas is a little heavy, I am slow at getting in some fluids but overall life is good. Our flight was layed over in Houston so we did not get home and in bed until 3am but all is well. I will write more later this afternoon, time for a nap...lol. I am so happy and most of all very thankful for all the prayers!!!!! One thing, the entire experience was much better than I would of ever expected, it was awesome.
  24. Dr. Kelly in Mexico did mine.
  25. Hugs back to you. Thank you for all your great advice pre surgery. Can't wait to get on with the show.........lol
