To Puree Or Not To Puree?

I am just now going to enter the soft stage on Tuesday, I'm currently in the puree stage which I haven't really blended anything. Have been eating vienna sausage the chicken ones, laughing cow cheese, eggs (not alot they felt kinda weird), grits, oatmeal, creamed soups, soft deli meats, canned chicken and tuna, chicken salad and tuna salad, refrid beans with a bit of sour cream musher up of course, mashed potatoes, cottage cheese, Greek yogurt there's a pretty good variety of things that you can eat and not have to blend it up!! Hope this helped and gave you some ideas and maybe something to look forward too!
  3. I know exactly what you mean I was banded on June 12 I was thinking about this today actually im 3 weeks out and would love to be exercising but I just feel tired and I have been sleeping alot. I was thinking after 3 more weeks I would probably get back to feeling like my old self

    Severe Pain Below My Breast

I was banded June 12 and I switched pureed foods on Tuesday. I ate a baked potato and felt like I chewed it enough and everything went down fine. Well about 3 hours later I was doing some paperwork and I got severe pain pressure dead center of my chest and I couldn't breathe! Naturally I got scared because I just had surgery so I thought oh god I have a pulmonary embolism or there's something wrong with my band?! Well I went to the er and they did a chest dray on me and ct and it came back negative which was great! They gave me some stuff for my stomach and gave me a pain shot so I could relax and finally I was able to breathe again! I called my dr the next day she told me what I had was severe reflux and that the potato I had eaten prob expanded and just shut my band down. So in short I won't be eating another baked potato ever haha but I'm glad everything was ok! I was crazy sore for the following 2 days from that though!

    Relationships?

I so know what you mean. I have had trouble always opening up. I constantly get told oh you have such a pretty face and well haha my body has just never caught up to that hype. So now that I've been banded and I will lose weight and be able to keep it off I am very confident that I will be able to allow myself to open up and be open with a guy! Being fat just puts a damper on things it's always like well yeh I don't really see you that way that garbage and me knowing good and well it is because I'm fat! Now everything is going to match up and I'm excited to find out what's ahead!

    Experiences With Blue Cross

I have bcbs of al. I had to do a required 6 month supervised diet with my pcp. I had documentation from my ob/gyn dr saying that I had been overweight for a number of years prior to this. I was on the lower side with my bmi so I had to have a comorbidity and I didn't really have anything major I had elev cholesterol once and I had an instance of high blood pressure. Over all I was fairly healthy. I do have some mild back pain caused by weight gain. I just followed a reg diet and that was monitored by my pcp. I was approved with bcbs within 3 days! I will get my surgery June 12!!!!

    Reeling Through Some Thoughts...

I know what their requirements are. What I'm saying is I'm worried that I'm not big enough or don't have enough health issues. I can't really lose a lot on the six month supervised diet because I'm already in the lower category.
  12. So I periodically skim through the topics and most of the time I can find something about what I'm wondering about. Well, I am getting closer to the end of my 6 month supervised diet. Which all in itself is ridiculous I have spent my whole life being overweight so let's tack on another 6 months right? I have 3 more weigh ins. My weight has always fluctuated to begin with so I have gained 5-10lbs since I have started which isn't huge because I'm on the lower side with my bmi. My bmi is around 37 I don't really have any co morbidities. I have had some high labs and borderline hypertension. I'm just hoping that if I am going to go through all this then they won't say in the end your not fat enough or not sick enough?! I guess when they say you are your own worst enemy it's so true! anyone else have these conflicting thoughts because they are on the lower bmi side and don't have any major health issues?
