My name is Victoria, and I am a 20 year old college student at Texas A&M University. I have been overweight since middle school, but by the time I got to college, I was 80 pounds overweight. Being "fat" has held me back from so much...I felt myself constantly withdrawing from life. About a month ago, I decided that even at my young age, ENOUGH WAS ENOUGH. Although my BMI wasn't high enough to have insurance coverage, my parents gave me the gift of a new life and payed for the surgery out of pocket. I sometimes feel angry because I'm so young & having to battle this, and I'm not able to eat whatever I want, but I know that i'm going through this for a reason!
