    I think my band slipped

Thank you for this information. Why did you get your band removed?

    I think my band slipped

Yep, I had the exact same symptoms wasn't able to sleep without having to vomit in the middle of the night, last night was the first night I slept like a baby since last week. Do you drink coffee? I forgot to ask my doctor last night if coffee was ok to drink and I do have my ice cream at night just a little because it is my weakness, but no solids, I guess I should go buy me some popsicles.. sugar free of course.. instead of eating the ice cream I could do sugar free fudgicle popsicles instead of the ice cream. I will keep you posted on my two week full liquid diet and hopefully get a fill in two weeks. Good luck to you. Rosa

    I think my band slipped

Hello everyone, I am post-op since September 2011 and I have had my first slip -- I went to the doctor yesterday and they unfilled my band totally and they assured me that the band should fit back into place in a few weeks and by being on a full liquid diet. I don't regret for a minute that I had lap band surgery I would do it all over again if I had to, having lap band surgery gave me my life back. I could never lose weight, I see this as a minor set back that's all. Since my surgery I have lost a total of 60 pounds - my goal is 95 pounds total loss so I don't have much to go, another 35 pounds. I love the lap band because I am losing weight at a reasonable rate and for this slow rate my skin is not sagging at all. When you have a slippage, you cannot drink or eat -- this is what I have experienced. Please feel free to ask me any questions. Thank you. Rosa

Newbie To All This Please Help

Do what you are supposed to do and you will be just fine, been banded for over a year and my only regret is not being banded sooner.. I have a new leash on life -- I feel 18 again.. lots of energy and never hungry,, remember chew chew chew all your food and you will be fine... just stop when you feel full. I soon will be 51 in November and I feel like a million dollars. Good luck on your journey. God Bless.
  7. I am post op one year from Dr. T, he's not very social I must agree, but if you want to see him, he will see you. I think he's an amazing doctor and knows lap band surgery. I always meet with Cristina however Dr. T did perform a fill and he did it so perfectly so great, he made me feel special and he said I was perfect. Lost 65 pounds 30 more to go to goal. Starting weight 222, now 160, goal 130.

    I Have Arrived!

Hey Diane, I have been banded almost one year now.. Sept 27 is my anniversary and I am glad and so happy I did it.. however I only lost 65 pounds, I'd hope to be at goal by now, but I am not.. I am 5'2" and my highest weight was 222 and like you I ate because I liked it and ate everything just because.. I tried Jenny Craig, Weight Watchers.. everything.. failed, I was a failure.. I hated me.. but now I do love me.. thanks for that awesome story, I loved it. I hope to be at goal by Christmas.. 30 more pounds to 130.

  10. I was banded by D. T, but only met him one time... very brief meeting. I like Cristina, she is very nice and explains everything very well. Post op Sept 23rd, lost 15 pounds so far, just started to exercise a little, am on full liquids.
  11. Today is my one week after lap band surgery, I have a doctor's appointment on Monday. I feel great.
