my first NSV was just 4 days after surgery and I put on my (only) size 18 jeans I have and went to a birthday party for my finance's uncle.... well I guess there's more than one NSV here but first of all everyone was sitting around eating chips and drinking pop. I have to admit I would have normally had about half a bag of chips and probably 2 to 3 cans of regular pop. but I sat there the whole time just sipping my power aid. next, they cut the dairy queen ice cream cake and passed out huge pieces. once again, just sat there and watched everyone eat while sipping. it was kinda sad but after I realized that I would have consumed over 2000 calories in just 2 hours at there house but instead I didnt have a single one, I was so happy now for the NSV I was thinking about in the first place was when I got home I was talking to my mom and turned around and noticed that my jeans were loose in the back! I could pinch a good couple inches of jean off of my thighs! I was freaking out an made my mom measure and had lost 2.5 inches in each thigh since surgery! wow I have hope I'll finally get rid of my thunder thighs!

Uhhh so lucky on full liquids so soon! I'm still working on clear liquids and tomorrow is one week post op. going to doctors for a check up tomorrow and prayyyyyinggg she let's me on full liquids or puréed. ahhhh fingers crossed!

yeah I'd love that. many friends and family know but TONS of people on facebook I don't really want knowing. let's try to figure out how to do it privately and I'm all in!

I'm just a few days in front of you and I was sleeved on Friday. I can relate with everything you're saying and it will get easier each day. it's still hard but I haven't had the benefit of watching the scale go down yet but as soon as it does I know I'll be verrrrryyyy happy

artsy- wish I was 2 weeks! lol my surgery was Friday the 11th... I believe the same day as you? I'm doing okay.. pretty sore and trying to figure out how to get all the liquids in. message me and we can talk more!

hey everyone! just 4 days post op and wondering if I am getting in enough liquids. before leaving the hospital I was to drink 2 ounces every half hour, 4 ounces an hour. I'm trying to do that now tht I'm home but I'm getting full so quickly and it seems to take an hour to get 2 ounces in. I'm affraid of dehydration because I've been peeing and using the restroom a lot and don't know if I'm able to catch up with the liquids. If someone could tell me how much they are drinking or drank post op and didn't get dehydrated that would be very appreciated thanks!

haven't had a pain pump since Saturday afternoon. if it weren't for the extreme soreness in my abdominal area, I'd be 100%! I have been walking constantly and now I'm waiting for my next dose of Pain medicine and takin to the surgeon to hear if I'm getting released today or not. just still sleepy and have been peeing a ton but no luck with passin gas
