  1. I'm having my surgery on Oct 17th and I'm a little scared too. Mostly to stay positive I look online for before and after pictures and stories and read posts on here to remind myself that by this time next year I'll be a whole new me! I'll be a healthier me! I'll feel better about myself and my body and that's what this is all about!
  2. I am scheduled for surgery in 3 weeks and I thought that I would be following a special diet the last 2 weeks before surgery but my doctor told me not to diet, just liquids the day before and if I want to have a "last meal" to please do it 2 days in advance. Is this pretty normal? Most of my friends were on protein shakes for a week or more before. Is this because I'm a "light weight"? I'm at 39 BMI.
  3. I had my surgery consult yesterday and I am scheduled for surgery on October 17th! I am so excited but a little nervous about the surgery it's self. I am not worried at all about post op life, but going through a major surgery with risks of major complications does scare me a little. My surgeon is very great and his staff is amazing... but I wondered if anyone else is/was nervous about actually going through surgery too, if so how did you deal?
