  1. I have had mixed emotions through out my wt. loss because of my starting wt. I started out at 230lbs. and was afraid of losing to much wt. Along the way I have had stall after, after stall, after stall, and thought I would never lose. Now I am fluctuating between 165 to 170 and people say "Don't loose another pound!!!" People worry about my wt. more than I do. I am constantly asked how much more are you going to lose? I want to to say What's it to you? My goal is 150lbs.to 160lbs. So I understand where you are coming from totally.

    Yucky Taste ?

I couldn't drink it. I refuse to drink anything that taste that bad. It was horrible. I haven't tasted anything worse. I couldn't finish 1/4 of the bottle. I had some bottles that I didn't open. I took them back to the store and the cashier even said it tasted bad.lol So, no it's not just you.

    December 2011 Sleevers Update

I have been feeling kind of down about my progress. I was sleeved on Dec. 5 and have only lost 23 lbs. I am eating reg. foods but limited amts. I still drink 1-2 protein drinks a day. I hardly ever get 64 oz. of water in a day.(This has been difficult for me to do.) I am greatful for what I have lost so far but when I see people who have lost 30 to 40 lbs. in the same time frame, I realize that my wt. loss is slow. I can't seem to get below 200lbs. I have increased my excercise level this week, and paying closer attention to what I am eating. Any ideas?

    When To Return To Work

Yes----I went back to work in exactly one week. I was also walking on the treadmill for short periods at a time. I did rest as much as I could on those days off. I explained to my family how important it was for everybody to help out, due to my low energy by the end of the day. I am 8 weeks out now and my energy level has increased. I have not missed one day of work due to illness from the procedure. Make sure you take your vitamins and get your fluid and protein in. I drank warm decaf tea through out the day because it went down easier. Just listen to your body and rest when you can.
  13. Thanks for the Male Perspective Mater.
